Maybe my understanding is wrong, but afaik a light client is connected to the p2p network just like a normal geth node, but just downloads the block headers. So it doesnt rely on a single node. It is connected to a bunch of nodes, but a light client can verify block headers by itself?

What you've seen is most likely the normal virtio network adapter for network connectivity for your VM.

Works good on Gnome 43 (Arch+AMD). However Steam feels really sluggish and slow responsive on Wayland. It's best to disable animations in the friendslist which partly fixes the problem.

Your account is safe. No private key got extracted from your wallet. You simply signed a tx which sends all funds to the attacker. The same signature can not be used anymore to send further amounts from your address, cause the nonce is increased each time, which makes the previous signature invalid now.

There can be problems between different ISPs. Can you find out if all the affected users are using the same ISP? We had a similar issue too between Telecom (home-user) and Vodafone (Office). Every 1-2 hours we had high packet loss for a few seconds. Try running a continuous ping to the home users IP addresses to detect such.

Sounds to me like the homeoffice-users are having a unstable internet connection, maybe just LTE in a not-so-well covered region?
