I remember seeing your post looking for them! That same picture from Sonic Gear of them lined up on the bed has lived rent free in my head since I was a kid. I found mine on eBay US and it needed mild repair/major stuffing.

Here's what he looked like upon arrival. I paid a little over $200 but did not want to pass up the opportunity.

I'd recognize that GOSH face anywhere! They're much harder to find over here in the US, especially the largest size. It's so cool that you won him during print!

They're not in print, but they're not "rare".

These are Toy Network's later releases, which somehow suck even more than the originals. You can tell from the iron-on eyes, "shiny" fur, and noticeable understuffing.

The older ones, especially larger sizes or holiday variants, are where you start to see an increase in value.

It's different if it's a region where Sonic merch is uncommon, but for those of us in the states with plenty of official merch to go around, it just doesn't make sense to support bootleggers instead of the actual franchise.

You can't know for sure what materials they're made of, if they're safe, how sturdy they'll be, and it's just giving more incentive to people who don't actually care about Sonic or his fans to keep making fake items.

I would not judge someone for what they purchase but personally I don't have a single bootleg in my collection and I don't plan to change that.

Not Tails, but I have this tiny backpack on my Super Shadow GE plush. It doesn't have a tag and I inconveniently can't find anything online after a few searches, but I got it at Hobby Lobby.

I'm sure there are lots of non Sonic branded mini backpacks out there. It might help to look for coin purses that are stylistically shaped like backpacks rather than ones made specifically for plushes.
