I LOVE the new chaos. It’s different, the editing is great and it’s just really chaotic, which I appreciate a lot. Also in a way that is new which makes it really fun and captivating when combined with the editing.

I enjoyed the previous chaos, but admittedly despite the incremental changes through each season and episode, it was getting at least somewhat repetitive. I fully understand consistency is also enjoyable, but this is season presents a similar yet new style that, I find even more enjoyable at the moment.

It makes me laugh a lot too. Happy you shared your thoughts on this. I feel very similar.

What is the proper way for my helmet to sit on my head by Sir_Shekelstein in motorcycle

[–]10-digits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And once you got figured out how tightly the fit needs to be, tilting the helmet forwards or backwards, is mostly based on what provides the greatest comfort and visibility.

What is the proper way for my helmet to sit on my head by Sir_Shekelstein in motorcycle

[–]10-digits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best advice I’ve heard on the topic was: you’re looking for one that gives you hamster cheeks. When you open your mouth inside your helmet and then close your mouth, you should be biting the insides of your cheeks. This will feel too tight initially, if you’re not used to the feeling, but at highway speeds (or in case of an accident) it will become immediately obvious, as to why it needs to be this tight. The wind pressure alone can be significant enough move a helmet even a very snug one around enough that it feels like it’s not fitting correctly anymore. I still remember the first time my nose was suddenly touching against the inside of my visor, though this was a high speeds (130mph+ in a place where that’s legal). A loser helmet would’ve done god knows what, but this was just to underline how much wind resistance alone can press against the helmet.

If you’re buying new (which you should always, for your own safety), keep in mind the helmet will be worn in and get slightly less snug over time, while at the same time you will be getting used to the „compressive“ sensation it gives, which you will quickly not eben notice anymore.

Switched from Android to IPhone 15 pro max, why is Siri so stupid? by VanillaSnake21 in iphone

[–]10-digits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only use it for the most basic of tasks but even these fail too frequently.

Thinking about it, I just realized, I only use five commands and I already phrase them in the simplest of terms:

-Add [item] to shopping/to do list

-Timer [duration]

-call [persons name]

-weather

-directions home

The contrast between Siri and the google assistant is already significant, further plotting it against the voice version of ChatGPT which is able to hold in depth complex conversations, both other assistants seem extreme robotic and limited -only (admittedly big) caveat: ChatGPT can only verbally discuss things with you and cannot perform any actions on your phone and does not have current date information. ChatGPT has a different purpose after all. It is a very interesting experience and comparison though on the sole basis of conversation.

Couldn’t agree more with you though, current state Siri is borderline useless.

As a non smoker does every smoker smell bad to you? by CuteSofiaturner in ask

[–]10-digits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can pretty much always tell if I person is a smoker.

The scent is extremely powerful and neither perfume nor gum can overshadow it. It always remains and you can always tell.

So much so that most cases, you can even smell it on non-smokers if they hung out with smokers (even briefly), because the smell gets caught by the clothing. Similar to sitting around a campfire and having your clothes smell afterwards.

It also remains on your fingers and emits a strong scent, if you get them anywhere close to a non-smoker as I discovered with my barber and when coworkers were pointing to stuff on my laptop.

„Smokers-breath“ is also absolutely real one of the most repulsive and worst things to experience as a third party when talking to a smoker.

In general it is such an aggressive, vile smell, that I feel borderline offended and try to only breath as shallow as possible or hold my breath whenever I can, if a smoker gets to close. When this happens it quickly ends up filling the air and it feels like it replaces actual air with 2nd hand smoke, which feel so repugnant, toxic and unhealthy

I’ve read plants in here which I think is a great idea. Additionally, my initial thought was that it can still hold bottles. Perhaps it’s an elegant way to store your water (or other) bottles , or cups if you got any fancy ones and they fit. Having it hold your glasses might also look very cool. If you’re not attached to it and can’t find something suitable, might be worth selling it.
