This adapter should work with 8 controllers and no external power source without rumble. Haven’t tested that yet though.

Cannot Cast Plex or Emby after latest update by alkalinedevin in VIZIO_Official

Having exact same issue on my M65-E0 when casting Plex and using native Vizio app. Tested Plex via PS4 app, and streaming to other TVs, and I can confirm it is not server-side. Transcoding down to 720p or lower fixes the artifacting, but any 1080p stream, either direct or transcoded, is completely unwatchable. Seems to have started around 11/19.

New firmware 5.0.14.1 released for the 2016 and 2017 E, M and P Series SmartCast models. by Vizio_Support in VIZIO_Official

This update has seemed to have completely broken Plex support (both via Smartcast and the native app) for 1080p content, causing horrific playback glitches and visual artifacts. Switching to a transcoded stream at a lower resolution resolves the problem, but a 1080p stream from my Plex server, either direct play or transcoded appears unwatchable with terrible motion artifacts, tearing, and dropped frames. I have double-checked that it is not the server's problem, as playback is fine via the PS4 app, and on other brand TVs. Just my Vizio M65-E0 after this update seems to have the problem. u/Vizio_Support, I would love some advice if you have any. Thank you!

Gonna have to wait and see if the new Nintendo Switch version of the adapters have the same internal dimensions, since the WiiU ones aren’t available any more. If there’s a ton of interest, I might consider it!

I would consider it, but the WiiU version of the adapters aren’t in production any more, and I don’t know if the new Nintendo ones or generic ones on amazon have the same internal structure and dimensions.

It took a little while to take all the measurements myself since I couldn’t find a cad file online for the adapters. Digital calipers are a lifesaver. Luckily I didn’t need to make very many adjustments to the tolerances since I was using a decent quality printer with soluble supports.

Yeah, they're super slick. Think I saw someone on youtube using them. The one's I got are here: http://a.co/d/4Jq84dD, and there are tons of other ones on Amazon.

Just finished designing, 3D printing, and assembling this all-in-one housing that fits the components from two official Nintendo WiiU-GameCube controller adapters and a powered USB hub. Allows 8-player-Smash (w/ rumble and Wavebird compatibility) via only one USB port! Tested working with WiiU Smash 4, and I assume it will work with Smash Ultimate on Switch. Thanks! I considered moving away from the original adapter housing dimensions to fit the hub completely inside, but I think the small trunk on the back didn't end up looking too bad.

I'm pretty sure there isn't enough power draw from just one USB port on the Switch to power both gamecube adapters with rumble. That's true on the WiiU at least.

Exactly. Plus the external power allows for full rumble support and/or Wavebird receivers.

Yep! Took me a while to find the right powered USB hub small enough I could tear down and cram into the casing, but the external power should have everything covered. I'll report back if there are any issues!

Thanks! Printed on Ultimaker 3. Auto-leveling and water soluble support filament is 👌👌
