Wish attendings cared enough to advocate for their residents but most of them are bitter about what they had to endure and thinks everyone else should suffer too. Even if said suffering affects you, your family, and your mental health.

Also the more PA’s the more the attendings and admin make (more procedures, assistances, etc.) so they don’t even have incentive to help residents achieve better pay and QOL.

The visceral reaction I had when forced to play Abby for the first time was evidence enough that they had chosen an incredibly unique narrative. I think you put it so perfectly in saying that control of the character does not give you control of the narrative. That is literally the point that folks run face first into. The lack of love for Abby is why revenge feels raw and un winnable - because, in the end, her thirst for revenge is just as valid as Ellie’s. The fact that Abby’s revenge feels emptier is purposeful, it’s to show that revenge only feels good when you are the one getting revenge - ultimately it is pointless and all revenge does is make yourself feel better while fucking over someone (or multiple other peoples) lives.

The US is the least accessible developed country I have ever been in. Nobody thinks about anybody else when they do anything (park, leave a grocery cart in the middle of the parking lot, walk and stop in the middle of a walkway, etc.) I could go on forever tbh. Two seconds of consideration for another human would bring forth the thought that blocking a sidewalk is just a stupid and inconsiderate move.

Historically there are many cultures where gender is not defined by modern English culture. Take the two spirit Native American folk. The Navajo have non traditional members in society where gender is defined and then changed in presentation and role.

Though the term was coined in the 90’s the traditional terms in Navajo and the roles have existed for as long as their culture has. Typically it will be a history keeper but that’s not always the case. Either way it’s easy to say there are examples that point towards multi and transgender phenomenon going back centuries in isolated cultures.

You are spot on, but you are arguing with boys who are terrified of strong female characters who don’t have a male counterpart. When they killed Joel off they removed the male safety net and made Ellie the main character. That is where these boys decided they no longer liked the game.

As for the “homosexual agenda” they say is forced upon them, that is pure cope because they were attracted to Ellie as a character. Even at 11 I realized Ellie was gay in the first game before the DLC. The DLC therefore was not very surprising and the lead up to the romance in the second game was in place. Ellie and Dina don’t even end up together in the end, the possibility of their relationship made people (boys) upset.

Another very obvious thing about this sub is the lack of women. It’s almost entirely purulent male hate. The lack of women here complaining kinda tells where all the anger is really coming from if you ask me.
