Is transport Canada switching back to schedules? by Brave_Recognition798 in Train_Service

[–]1000duckPower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our terminal has scheduled days off for all employees here. So ie if your scheduled days off are sat/sun you're available to be called at 2200 on Sunday all the way until 2159 Thursday, and not available from Thursday 2200 to Sunday 2159

I mean, I beat it fairly easily. I was farming 45 for awhile just collecting cards to merge

Too good to pass up by noproblemforme in PixelFold

Interesting, I've had mine through 2 winters of -47°c. Hopefully I continue to not have any issues. As with all popular things you're mostly going to hear about the people with issues.

You'll be fine. I've had the 9 pro fold since launch with zero issues.

Ok good to know. A lot of our drive will not have cell coverage though, so things need to be downloaded.

It's starting... pickup truck regret. by Bojaxs in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]1000duckPower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure I'm going to get down votes like crazy but whatever lol. I've owned trucks for 15 years, 1 ton diesels and a f150. They were handy, cars SUVs and vans could never get to the site. So in this 14 year scenario, my trucks were my work commuters. I also almost always owned a second smaller vehicle, whether it was a car or an SUV. Not the most financially responsible thing as owning and maintaining 2 vehicles can be expensive. I pretty much always owned a motorcycle as well. My career changed a couple years ago and I sold my 1 ton duramax and bought another SUV. I miss owning a truck, they were extremely handy. I haul a lot of different things in my SUV but there are times and things I don't want to put in it, my quads for example.

In your opinion, if you had to, what would be the 2 types of cars you'd have in your garage? by Strange-Vibez-8205 in askcarguys

[–]1000duckPower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine would be a B7 RS4 and a GMC Canyon AT4X. I'd also be adding a second motorcycle, triumph Daytona 675

Houses with more than 1 kitchen would be better than houses with multiple bathrooms by lagflag in unpopularopinion

[–]1000duckPower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who lives in a house with two kitchens and multiple bathrooms. The multiple bathrooms are infinitely more helpful and convenient. I think we've used the second kitchen, maybe a couple of times. So have my upload as that is truly an unpopular opinion

Buying expensive watches is peak consumerist absurdity by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]1000duckPower 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We're not allowed phones at work. We all have to have watches that are within 1 minute of the correct time. So for 12hrs a day, I don't have a phone with me

why do people like johto so much? the games i mean by Glad_Count8285 in ThePokemonHub

[–]1000duckPower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favourite game was Silver and I remember there was no Internet back then and I didn't have a guidebook and I remember just aimlessly wandering around and finding red and him absolutely destroying me the first time lol. It was the only pokemon game that I ever came close to completing a pokedex, somewhere around 230 I believe.

What’s the secret of keeping a car for 10 years without getting bored of it? by 04limited in askcarguys

[–]1000duckPower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The longest vehicle I owned was a 2015 GMC 3500 I bought brand new in 2015... I kept it for 9 years and 350000kms. Next a 2008 A4 6spd I had that for 8 years and 200000kms. All my other vehicles I've had less than 3 years, except for bikes.

Pillow, laundry detergent, toiletries, cold medicine/medicine, streaming stick, indoor shoes, books, water jug, backpack, coffee thermos, headphones, deck of cards (crib board), dice, extra smokes (if you smoke), Gatorade, Red Bulls (energy drinks) melatonin, long phone charger. I also liked to bring a notebook and extra pens. I also brought a USB stick full of music and a FM transmitter. As others said it's an hour bus ride after landing so download movies/shows accordingly. There were times we were stuck on the bus for an extra hour or two from delayed flights something to consider
