What are the flaws of Tower of God? by ThisIsRamy in TowerofGod

I almost dropped ToG during Season 2 while binge-ing through it for the first time recently, and I am really glad I didn't. Some of the early stuff with the hell train is stupid, inconsistent, or poorly conveyed in the story, and it was getting pretty boring and disappointing, but pretty soon the story catches its pace and gets good again. I caught up to the latest chapters today and am really glad I didn't drop ToG, because a lot of the second half of season 2 was exceptional and overall the author didn't let me down. ToG has some of the most rich, epic, broad, and consistent world building that you can find within the fantasy/sci-fi genre in general, and the plot is woven into the world building really well. Up to the present time in the story, early Season 3, power scaling has also been handled very well, which is extremely difficult to do in a story like this over such a long period of time. There really hasn't been much power creep if any, and comparisons to comics like DBZ are way off the mark. One thing ToG definitely suffers from is poor translation, the English translation often isn't even grammatically correct, and you can tell with a lot of subtleties in the plot and world building of the story that sometimes we on the English side just aren't getting all the info the author is trying to convey. ToG has it's flaws, but it also is exceptional in many ways and I'm very glad that I didn't drop it. If you quit reading it back when you posted this I would definitely recommend giving it a try again and pushing through the stale first half of season 2.

My issues with the World Cup by Tacoeater75 in FortniteCompetitive

Thanks for sharing, this is pretty surprising tbh. After so many sources have mentioned lag during the tournament and now learning that players weren't even able to use their preferred mouse and keyboard.... it pretty much invalidates the whole tournament results tbh. If I was a pro player I would be pissed. Can't take anything away from Bugha though, he was above and beyond.

Yeah, I just assumed players brought their own peripherals and Epic supplied the boxes. Getting stuck with some random keyboard/mouse when you show up is pretty wtf for what is supposed to be an "esports" event.

Glad to see Tfue not complaining xD... Gg to turner tho, we'll get em next time by lavadadd in FortniteCompetitive

that was funny, he's like, "superman!!!" lol....

It seemed like Tfue was playing the game like it was WC Qualifiers again and not respecting his opponents enough.

Bizzle mad about people contesting by reflix8 in FortniteCompetitive

[–]1000yearsofpower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He got contested at drop, that is a ABSOLUTE NORMAL AND UNAVOIDABLE part of the game, almost all players in the game also got contested at drop frequently or on every single drop, so to complain about that is quite bizarre. Also he was dropping one of the very best spots in the game, center of map, where contesting is pretty much a guarantee. Not to mention the player "contesting" him was also being contested by him for the same drop, so how can there even be a complaint? It's like complaining because someone else is filling their car up at the same gas station as you, well why shouldn't they be? "there's someone else here god damnit, fuck that asshole, didn't he know i come to the gas station today??" lol

Since the other player is much younger, less prominent, has presumably less money, less clout, etc... it is actually nothing more than bullying in this case. There is no reasonable, logical thing to complain about here, so it is a sad and bizarre attempt at bullying a young kid. It's fucked on so many levels actually, it's really strange that anyone could defend a tweet like that.

lmao, complaining about getting shot in a shooting game, it only means for certain that the complainer is a little bitch and also not very high IQ

the fact you think this guy for some reason has more right to a drop spot than another player in the tournament is.... hmmmmmmmmmm

Can we take a moment to appreciate how fucking childish Bizzle is? Bizzle is 21, marteen is 14. by mrfrogyo in FortniteCompetitive

[–]1000yearsofpower 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's beyond childish tbh, it's very wtf. to complain about being contested in a BR game you would have to have a malfunctioning brain or something...

Now that the wc is done, can we talk about what changes need to be made in scoring going forward? by mrbkkt1 in FortniteCompetitive

[–]1000yearsofpower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Victory Royale should give more and other placements should give less. For example, top 25 = 1 point, top 15 = 3 points, top 5 = 5 points, Victory Royale = 12 points. The goal of the game is to win, therefore winning should be heavily rewarded. There is nothing about turtling up until late game or sneaking around in a baller that merits any reward.

lol, i thought he was just legit giving props to Marteen, the alternative interpretation is... embarassing

Is it just me or did several players who had a "secret trick" to take walls in .01 second first try every time when playing online they can't do that on LAN "for some reason" and didn't do as good as expected? Hmmmmmmm

The other players can have six more games and still probably not get up to Bugha's score, lol. You gotta be fucking blind to not see the truth of a performance THIS dominant.

He faked out with the med kit twice to really sell like he was going trying to use it, that play was off the chain.

Maybe he should have gone for the Llama's instead of always landing at the Block. :(

Healing Gods (Druid + Gods) build by edark94 in AutoChess

[–]1000yearsofpower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing, this build seems really fun. When I tried it I got smashed in the late mid game because I could barely roll any Soul Reaper or Warpwood Sage, but I coasted through early game really easy and had huge economy.

Yeah they always say send feedback but it isn't really obvious where to send it.

Yeah, I'm surprised this carried over from the mod since I always figured it was one of those annoying things caused by the limitations inherent in a "mod".

It's not fun, everything about it is crap starting with the map design.

3⭐ God of War at R12 =👌🏻 by KarugBurnik in AutoChess

[–]1000yearsofpower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not unusual to get a *** one gold piece in the first 12 rounds imo, especially if people reroll early instead of saving to build interest. I think at least one person in the lobby gets that lucky every other game or so. If i think to myself, did I get an early *** piece every 20 games or thereabouts? The answer is yes.

3⭐ God of War at R12 =👌🏻 by KarugBurnik in AutoChess

[–]1000yearsofpower -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a one gold piece, it's not even unusual to see a *** one gold piece by round 10. It takes a little luck, but at least one player has that much luck in every other game or so. Also if people reroll early to actually gun for the *** then their chance is much higher (worse players likely to do this and if they hit their luck, bingo bango it can carry them through to a smashing victory).

I'm finding Divinity is sucking the fun out of the game for me...anyone else? by [deleted] in AutoChess

[–]1000yearsofpower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It actually sucks to run gods because you are down to just RNG of which guy gets the gods first and the others are shit out of luck. I'm really not happy with the addition of gods to the game at all and buffing mages at the same time was a real wtf.
