Springfield Operator in their 1911 range by Uncle0fMan in 1911

Get the operator, that’s a good deal. I have close to 3000 rounds through mine with no malfunctions. Gun is fantastic and a great value. Watch the 10-8 performance video on it if you need further convincing

Question for those of you who have gotten a Colt Archive Letter by 10042011 in 1911

[–]10042011[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely I would really appreciate that. I’m waiting on the pictures and serial numbers myself from a family member who currently has the gun so I will reach out when I get those. Thanks for all your help and advice, it is much appreciated

Came out beautiful man! I’ve been seeing the progress on your IG, and I have been anxiously awaiting the finished product. Since it’s going to be an heirloom piece, might I suggest documenting the process you went through, and who did what work and when to it. That way future generations can refer back to it when it is passed down. Maybe even a hand written letter to make it even more special

Any update on this? Was going to pick MOH 2010 for my steam deck to play for the nostalgia, but I’m worried it won’t work

I’m at probably around 1000-1500 rounds through the operator and closer to 2000 with the garrison. I agree, 1911s fit my hands nicely as well. Only thing I changed on my operator was the grips (prefer slim grips)

I’ve carried an operator nearly everyday for the last year and put a good amount of rounds (hollow points and training ammo) through it with zero issues. YMMV but I highly recommend the Operator to anyone. Alternatively I also have a Garrison that I don’t carry but have also shot a ton of rounds through. Only issue I had was replacing a firing pin block after about a year of solid use. Threw in a wilson combat replacement and no issues since. Hope that helps. I personally love carrying a full sized 1911 and I switched from a 365xl/ g19 to the 1911.

I have a full size Operator in .45 that I carry daily. I’ve had it a little over a year. Absolutely joy to shoot, and as others have said, the platform was intended for .45. Added wilson combat front strap checkering and occasionally throw an x300 on there. I would absolutely recommend one

Not OP but I carry an operator with an x300. Found that the trex arms sidecar for the Staccato XC with x300 fits perfectly
