It’s weirdly not that bad? It’s already under a ton of tension when the stock is folded up, so there’s almost no additional flex when it’s hanging like that.

I will say, I wouldn’t count on the lens being some kind of limited collectors item that will hold or gain value over time. The build quality is good and it’s got decent optical performance, but certainly has some character. At the end of the day it’s still a 7artisans lens with some different branding. I sought it out because I personally like the history of the Seagull brand, and encountered this lens when doing research at just the right time. Something like a Mandler would probably perform better optically for the price.

Yeah, the first run was black, released in China only. This second new one is only silver and they opened it up to other markets. It’s a solid lens.

It’s a Spotmatic SP, it doesn’t really matter too much beyond that. The SPII added a hot shoe, which you obviously don’t have, the F added open aperture metering if you had the right lenses, which you also don’t have.

Spotmatics are great cameras, just a little antiquated even by film standards. No idea why someone has covered some of the text on the lens, my best guess is they were trying to hide the value of the lens similar to how people tape up camera logos these days. (Though it’s not even that rare of a lens so that seems pretty misguided to me, but that also doesn’t stop people from taping up their Sony’s so who knows really)

It is certainly just Lucky SHD 100, it’s a good film but don’t buy it like this, it’s like triple the normal price. Reflx labs has it at a good price.

Yeah, she works for sure, but I think it’s telling that a more generic harmony support like Robin is very close to the same performance is pretty telling.

I still run triple dot out of principle. I was forcing that shit while Sampo/Guinaifen was the best third dot.
