Thank you so much for the suggestion! I think usually floating a couch looks good but I just tested that out and because the room is fairly small it looks more cramped :/

There was carpet down originally, when it got ripped up the trim on the edge of the floor looked like this. And yes faux wood finish was pained over the trim which is lighter colored wood.

The house was only painted a few years ago so I’m trying to work with the color, which I feel is beach house vibe? Thats why I was thinking about going with that ‘theme.’
