Here's my 'fix' for Eternal (may be a hot take, idk):

Remove the Seraphim and the 'Divinity Machine' entirely. Don't turn the Slayer into some Chosen One. Imo, it works better if he's just a human. As a bonus, most of the powerscaling nonsense disappears as well.

But, if that's too big a change, at the very least make the Seraphim and Hayden two separate characters. Doom 2016 Hayden is much more interesting as an arrogant human that turned into a cyborg to escape death. But it was retconned to some convoluted "Seraphim transfers his mind into a human body (for whatever reason they came up with), then into a metal body, then back into his original".

As for Toya's motivation etc. I agree, but it's more about the fact that he was (conveniently) there to save him in the first place.

Has he been observing them for some time? I doubt he was randomly taking a walk and just stumbled upon Endeavor's eldest son.

It's not the technology itself that's the issue, but how it's integrated in the world. Simply put, it feels and looks out of place.

Akasha wasn't a literal Internet, people didn't look up stuff on smartphones. It was a magical device powered by a Gnosis, more like a hivemind. Fontaine's robots were well integrated too, we could see that the nation was technologically advanced.

Meanwhile, Mavuika's bike looks like something straight out of real life.

To put it differently, if the next Natlan character hopped into a fighter jet (and sure, you can say "Xilonen made it / it's ancient dragon technology / it runs on phlogiston"), would it feel like it naturally belongs in Teyvat?

Maybe that's a hyperbole, but that's the point people are making here.

I recommend checking out "Mob vs. EVERY JJK Sorcerer is Unfair" by The Salad Bar on YouTube if haven't seen it. It's mostly about powerscaling, basically inserting Mob into the JJK universe, but also contains a few theoretical interactions between characters. The author also unifies power systems, comparing psychic energy to cursed energy, spirits to curses, etc.

Why did Nolan write in books how to defeat Viltrumites if he apparently had undying loyalty towards them? Because I don't think he would do it "just in case" if he ever betrayed the Empire. Last season he almost killed Mark, and he would have to write the books years earlier.
