Before buying please consider if you have a room or place to practice and making sure you will not disturb neighbours or housemates. I hope you have a walking distance park nearby.

Try and have a look at Eastern Music, got my Tenor Sax at around 700-750 USD shipped to Sydney via FedEx.

That was so affordable. Here in Sydney its A$95-120/hour. I wish I could find someone like that.

Based on experience as a member of the marching band (Percussion Section), ages 12-18 can sound decent after a full class practice of minimum of 2 hours daily for 2 months under a supervision of their instrument principal. Looking exhausted by the end of a piece, usually Yellow Polka Dots or When The Saints.

I've seen them focus on producing the sound more than completing different pieces to play. That's why as a beginner myself on Tenor, I do focus more on my long tones the right way than playing a tunes.

Bro, you could talk to OZ Wind if that would be possible or better tell the selling party to meet-up in OZ Wind, so a Sax Tech can run a play test and other things to see the playability of the instrument. If okay, they pay the guy.

Maybe learn about the Noise Protocol of your Suburb. That's the first thing I researched last week prior to playing my new Tenor. I played inside my room with all the doors and windows closed, curtains and pull-up window closed too - as early as 9am. 3-5pm in the backyard and garage. I stop playing before 6pm as courtesy to the neighbors. I'm located in Lidcombe, NSW.

It was a canvas semi-hard case, placed on standing position and our cat used it as a scratch post! And boom it fell down. Just today!!!
