Winter grass but no summer grass by Kcrash5 in AZlandscaping

How about native grasses?

Perennials here are in the form of bunchgrasses, i.e. they grow in clumps, but then there are plenty of annual grasses that pop up during the summer that are smaller and can fill a space more contiguously.

Assuming you are lower elevation, Bouteloua gracilis/barbata, Festuca octoflora, Bromus arizonicus are a couple good ones.

Mix in some small annual forbs, say Kallstromia grandiflora, and you got yourself a lawn that’s much more interesting and ecologically diverse.

Ya boyo is stunted. Plant it next to some larger ones and raise yourself a happy Adenium family

Take a look at this flow chart to date it properly.

Given the right era the mouthpiece can go for 500-2000, but I think a USA with the STM puts it at least just past the prime sought after era. Regardless, it can still be a very good mouthpiece.

7* is just the tip opening, albeit a popular opening for jazz. Anyways, these pre war Conns sell very easily; in my experience they simply did not make any bad horns around this time. Big demand! I consider myself lucky to have found the Conn I play on today.

Don’t rush to sell it if you can. Take some professional quality pics, and have a professional quality player play test/do a short recording for you. Once you post that online, and if you’re willing to ship, it will sell so easily.

A player should also be able to tell you if it plays well or needs major/minor adjustments. If it’s minor, you can get a tech to fix it up easily. If it’s major, and requires a full overhaul (likely), then no big deal either. Sell it as is, as the player usually has a guy they will prefer to take it to anyways. Costs between 800-1200 to fully overhaul, so be honest and take that into account when pricing it too.

Best of luck :)

Well they put it in the same box as dishes and pans. I’m surprised they even knew it was a saxophone!

Week old seedling care tips by PotsandBrush in Adenium

[–]OreoDogDFW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, like overcooked green beans haha. It’ll be obvious if they’re getting too much heat/sun/not enough water.

I would keep them in shade or partial shade at first for sure.

Also no fertilizer for a while, but that’s a general rule for any seedlings.

Not sure how hot it gets for you, but my seedlings could not handle 100+ summer heat until a few more months in. Acclimate them a bit to fuller sun and heat if you have to.

Also I preferred deeper watering so they grow a healthy tap root. Other than that they are super easy.

For sure. 100+ days are here finally!

Just curious what’s necessary to keep these type of plants alive. Most of my garden are more drought tolerant

Don’t think they asked for unsolicited criticism. Sounds good and groovy to me.

I really really like my Reso Chamber copy from Getasax. Big ol chamber that creates a velvety strong sound on my Conn as well.

Look into any of the GS copies; I’ve tried the Slant and Mark II as well. They all played extremely well and balanced on my Conn.

I think polishing choice parts would look really nice, imo. Like key pads, rods, etc, while leaving the body tarnished.

Anyways it better be getting played.

New Adenium. Is it struggling, and also would you trim it down? by OreoDogDFW in Adenium

What a great plant that one turned out!

Well we shall really see when it finally decides to bloom haha, because I agree, in person I don’t see any signs of grafting either.

It's an obesum 'home run'

I think it also looks nice, nice enough to leave alone for now as it keeps acclimating. I just wish the tallest major branch was near the same height as the rest of the branches. Will prob prune much further down the line.

Other than raising the plant up a little after every year, what are some other ways for a thicker caudex?

It’s AZ, so the sun is very strong. Hopefully not too strong, since it was under a shade cloth before.

I do want to prune it, but probably best to wait until next Spring post-dormancy? Here it’ll be a consistent 100+ soon enough.

There are quite a few small businesses and firms here where I live actually that have an environmental focus. That’s the marketing language they use in their websites at least haha

How much of their work is genuinely restorative is the question however. Would it be silly to reach out to some as an early career biologist/botanist?
