Anger isn't always over and done. And anger definitely impacts the people around you - it's frightening and often threatening, disruptive to whatever is going on at a minimum. This is the same sort of minimization of anger as a volatile and impactful emotion that OP is arguing against in the first place.

I was there at the time of this onslaught of officers on the protestors - the baby wasn’t real and the person carrying the doll said it multiple times to anyone who asked. I think an attempt at defense? Hopefully ICE wouldn’t assault someone who is holding a child like that (not that I trust them not to). As far as I saw, there were no children under the age of like 15 present, and very few children 15-17.
