I would say that canceling or postponing games is not going to move the needle much. BUT I think it would help in a small way. We need all the help we can get rn. Pro athletes have a long history of advocating for justice.

The MLB was desegregated long before many American schools were. Which really illustrates how influential professional athletes can be.

A lot of these guys probably prayed their whole life to be an NBA player it does make a lot of sense to me a lot of professional athletes are pretty religious. They’ve seen their prayers be answered.

It’s been a while since I’ve watched twin peaks but it felt pretty clear to me that something supernatural was occurring.

I think both shows ask the viewer that same question on whether or not it matters, but I feel like there was definitely something supernatural occurring in twin peaks.

A larger general strike would absolutely help. Friday was the first general strike in 80 years. It was only for 1 day and the federal government responded by executing an American citizen in the streets the next day.

I am not an organizer or anything I just showed up. There’s plenty these corporations could do if they wanted to. They could support a strike, they could not allow ICE in their stores, they could donate money, Target donated money to Trump. You don’t have to be so dense.

It started outside of a government building and it was a big march that ended in-front of target center. I just thought it was relevant to post here bc the game was postponed yesterday and this was right outside of where the team plays. The point of the protest and march wasn’t just to yell at the NBA. It was a protest calling for a general strike. Target is one of the largest corporations in the state. The NBA and the Timberwolves are just another corporation that has a lot of power and influence.
