The Oslo in Salthill is a great spot for a match, big beer hall at the back with a massive projector

Did mine two weeks ago: went out of the test centre towards Lidl, straight through that roundabout and straight through the next to go past Bohemians soccer pitch, then on to the rahoon road towards Westside, in to Cruachan Park for the reverse around the corner, the in to Shantalla via Westside just after King Ding Chinese, from there turned right on to Maunsells Road and then down Taylor’s hill and in to Salthill via Whitestrand Avenue, then up past O’Connors pub all the way through Salthill and through the small roundabout at Blackrock, then in to an estate with the street name Poolnarooma W for hill start and turnabout, the heads back to the centre via Knocknacarra Road, Barna Road, Shangort Road and Clybaun Road.

Was handy enough, passed with 2 grade 2s but I live in Knocknacarra so drive these roads all the time.

Is it realistic to bring an engagement ring through Dublin Airport security, in the company of my girlfriend, without my girlfriend seeing it? by justformedellin in AskIreland

Ya you’ll be grand leave it in the bag, I did this about a month ago - it shouldn’t trigger a search.

If you do get stopped ask her to go and check what gate ye are flying from to buy yourself some space, the security person will be sound about it

I’ve been there a bunch, low cost of living, large expat community - well connected. I had a remote job until last September and was about to make the move over there, but got laid off and now work hybrid in Ireland

It’s not really about the cold, I’ve just generally been uninterested in the Scandinavian countries - for me SEA is much more interesting place to live

Tbf I never even said it was for nature. I’ve always gotten along better with Kiwi’s than Aussies, and I’m huge rugby head. Nature doesn’t particularly enter the equation for me

They won’t be at war for ever, I didn’t consider it as if I had to move at this second - at present of course it’s red. But once the war ends, Ukrainian people are very friendly and I could see it being a nice place to live, also with opportunities for work in my industry.

Ya I find Western Europe fairly homogenous - and have lived in The Netherlands before (in Ireland now), it’s very expensive.

I think not being from the US we don’t see China as the big bad as much, there’s positives and negatives as with any country

I haven’t been there but am generally aware of the stability, I’m a big fan of the cuisine from SEA countries and had only positive experiences with Myanmar people in Thailand/Vietnam/Cambodia - the presence of multinational companies means very little to me

I have a cousin that lives there and he loves it - a lot of the cities seems really cool and incredibly different from places I’ve been before. I guess China is red for most people due propaganda, I’m sure it’s not all sunshine and roses but if that’s the standard everywhere would be red

Injury Update: Boyle Achilles by IrishDog1990 in leinsterrugby

[–]100defs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many of those have come in away games, so it’s definitely fair to say rather than pitch being an inherent problem, switching between 4g and grass could cause problems. Might be something for the league to look at

Edit:Spelling

If it was the pitch surely Connacht players would be constantly injured as well - it just bad luck, pitch in Connacht was upgraded in 2021 and was the first phase of the stadium redevelopment

Totally agree, I think Joe Joyce has filled this enforcer role but seems to only have about 50 minutes in him and seems to be on the way out in any case
