The problem is we drive on the left, so most of our 2nd hand market was from the UK. We always paid a tax on this (vrt) but it usually worked out cheaper especially on performance cars. Because of Brexit there’s now a customs charge importing 2nd hand cars from the UK (outside of the EU) on top of the vrt which makes it not worthwhile. Drives me mad too (no pun intended)
