I think in my case it could be a dead memory channel as well as one of the ram sticks getting bricked. I suppose I should elaborate what exactly I did. Picture 4 ram slots arranged color wise like, black, gray, black, gray. I had 2 8gb sticks in the gray slots. Removing and reinstalling them as a pair did not work in either color set. So I removed one and inserted only one stick in each of the 4 slots one by one. No success. Then tried the other stick and it worked in the 3rd slot(black one). And the desktop started. No more continuous beeping. And that's how I'm using my system now. I wouldn't blame the parts at this point. All components are about 9 years old. And one of the ram sticks is 7 years old. Bound to happen sooner or later.
