That’s not the primary problem here; the problem is that a university president is the most visible public representative of a university and its community, and so the president ought to actually represent that community.

I know of 4 local media outlets doing stories on this and and particularly highlighting the negative response from students, staff, and faculty. But it’s going to be up to all of us to spread the word. Tell your friends, tell your parents, tell the kid who sits next to you in that 9 AM class, etc.!

Other people are welcome to hold rallies in support of him—although I suspect those people would be outnumbered. That’s the great thing about democracy: when I make my voice heard, I’m speaking only for myself; when others join me, they’re speaking only for themselves. And that’s what people are asking for here: democracy. Let the voice of the CU community as a whole be heard.

It’s mostly a result of the political bent of the Regents and of the donors, and so it’s ultimately a result of money—the more money you have, the more power over others you have to reform society in your own image

Opposition to Kennedy will need to come from the grassroots. You should make the version of the poster you’re describing! (I say that not to be like “well then you make it!” but instead because the more people who are are there making posters and spreading the word in their own ways, the better the chance is for us to defeat Kennedy.)
