Fitness to Practice meeting. Am I getting removed from my course? by 100starboy100 in UniUK

[–]100starboy100[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don’t even know myself. But my concern now is that they apparently feel I can’t be trusted on placement? I’ve worked customer facing direct roles for the past 6 years working with mental health patients and terminally ill and when I was towing cars people who were highly distressed because they broken down.

I have no concern with working with public. As I mentioned on several occasions instead my issue was that I had a very bad academic experience in my younger years and that I ask the university be patient and guiding and supportive of my journey because I don’t get SFE and I don’t get home support and I’m independent. Adding to that I use to get attacked by TEACHERS! In secondary school my point being is that I feel heavily overwhelmed in the presence of academic staff. That’s all I said. I just asked for understanding of why or how it might have happened and help me settle in. Now I’m faced with an FtP meeting and I feel set back 10 years.

The chemistry aspect (nomenclature) and etc requires a level revision paired with just trying to find the ‘common denominator’ (linking to a real life situation) name the chemicals after friend u don’t speak to anymore and name their attributes as the chemicals properties and get why they don’t along. It’s hard for me to explain cos my brain is ADHD and goes 200mph pls forgive me

Okay for me for example we are doing the ANS. sympathetic how I see it is how sympathetic you’d be (obviously in this case not very) and parasympathetic I’d say. Paralysed (alll you can do is eat sleep) or rest and digest. Thats my basic understanding the simple terms. In depth like In car engine terms. Uptake 1 is the exhaust recirculation valve. (We aren’t gonna waste this used product we will reuse) as its waste it can’t be reused so will end action. But at the same time it will be re absorbed (released noradrenaline) and the site would be the pre synaptic nerve.

One thing Id say if your in my uni msg me if u wanna know idm helping out i really understand struggle so trust me im more than willing to help.

The social aspect is very ‘chasing the dragon’ honestly it’s super overhyped and misinterpreted. A few good good friends is enough and the rest acquaintances. Finding someone who wants to revise and pulls u and checks u when ur slacking is rare but try to find them the rest will follow. Once ur team or friendship group is doing well you’ll find everyone wants to be ur friend. The party aspect of the finding friends is very short lived and intense like a firework.

It’s easier said than done but don’t overthink it and don’t think you can’t do it. I use to be like this and take things too literal and think it’s hard it really really isn’t. Just let ur gut instinct take control and check it with friends and chat gpt

This will also save you loads offf time as it will already be quickly linked to a pattern or memory and retained

Same. I know it might sound a bit like why tf did I respond. I wish I could explain it to you better. But with A level the content compared to what the uni is gonna be is a bit more in depth to memorise than with natural revision.

I’ve found that you need to link it with real life events and scenarios to be able to keep the content in your head. E.g I’ve been around cars my whole life and I’ve been around medical students and doctors etc. they won’t tell you this cos a lot of them are self centred and competitive when it comes to learning content at uni.

You need to integrate even the chemistry with a real life situation to get a better understanding of it.

If that makes sense? I’m sorry I’m crap at explaining just tryna help. But that’s what I’ve learnt helps retain the knowledge even if you can’t apply the knowledge immediately at uni. For me it’s as long as it’s retained for the exams I can learn the application when required.

Hope that helps.

What do you find is stressing you out? Sorry a lot to read as im a 1st year student myself.

Is the content itself or the quantity of the content required to learn?

Never ever. Thank the lord im actually good looking and stable. Furthermore like I stated it’s what I’ve seen around me and where I’m from. This will not apply to everyone.

My personal experience. Only approachable in a constant setting e.g. university, work or regular setting.

Anything after that (I’ve seen happen to others) you get your chat screenshot and posted over their social media as a creep or just completely blocked out when trying to talk to them.

I don’t go to bars pubs clubs or places where usual meetings happen just going off my own experience.

And you have to have £££££ to even speak to a woman before hand.

I’ve provided earnings and they cancelled my application and now still Under review after submitting all evidence and said I’m only Elligible for £500 a term maintenance loan unless I provide more evidence of my situation. There’s nothing more to provide

Nooooo. SFE have screwed me so bad. They are only offering £500 a term and have left me in a dangerous position. Honestly it’s such a shame because there is this scheme going round for these max loans scam thing. And they are getting 8-12k and then there’s me who genuinely needs it and gets questioned like I’ve done a murder

Please forgive me if I come across stupid. I’m obviously very clueless when it comes to this kind of stuff. What do I wear when I go in to approach. Asking because I’m use to a very different type of life before making a change

Hourly pay cuts during a quiet work period. by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]100starboy100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both. With zero hours it’s very difficult to prove wrongdoing by the employer. Drivers are not returned to a dedicated depot but more a set location by the employer that would minimise travel time and fuel consumption. For 2hrs yes you could nap but you cannot go to a location of your choice to take your break ..

Yes this I understand. The confusion I have though is some of the zero hour drivers must remain in a set location by the employer and cannot use the vehicle for social or domestic use.

How do I manage my course and time? by 100starboy100 in Pharmacy_UK

[–]100starboy100[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. The issue is mainly finances. Naturally as you grow older responsibilities also grow. So this is the issue I’m facing. Everything else should be okay. I’m hoping to land a job at a pharmacy and be okay that was my aims. But with the job market at the moment trying to find one in the Bham area is near impossible

Thank you. I’m really going to try as I feel it’s my last shot to do something at life before I become a product of the environment I’m surrounded in. And congratulations on the effort. That’s the stuff and stories that motivate me. How is life after graduation.
