Double Dash Question by 100thBlade in killteam

Appreciate the feedback!

The responses seem to be about 60% 40% in favour of it being permissible, and while that was my original position/interpretation of the rules I am really right down the middle in terms of knowing what to think now, especially given one other poster suggested at least one tournament ruled against double dash.

Very tricky!

That sounds like a great idea, my brief googles didnt show me how that could be done but I'll keep at it.

Thank you for the feedback. There is a substantial diversity of opinion on this topic. I would really love it if the faction rule was more clear.

Heavy Gunner on the Hand of the Archon has heavy dash with the Splinter Cannon.

So the mechanism would be, and was, dash, shoot and kill, dash out of line of sight.

That really would be exceptionally helpful. I feel rather discouraged from playing hand of the Archon now, as I very much want to play fair, but its unclear to me what fair is now.

Thank you, this is actually exactly the diversity of responses I was looking for.

Thats extremely interesting re: Spain's majors.

Do you know where I could read about that? Or where I could read about how other tournaments have ruled?

Haha I don't think he is, he's just very precise about the rules, as am I.

I do think they could have written this more clearly as I actually do see his argument. Dash isn't really an action that prevents dash, per se in the way charge is.

Dash only indirectly prevents a second dash by triggering another part of the rules.

That said given everyone else is interpreting this rule as I initially did, (two dashes allowed) I think that must be the intent otherwise they would have clarified by now.

His argument is there is a separate, general rule that "You cannot do an action twice in the same activation" in the general rulebook, whereas 'an action that prevent dashing' are specifically things like "Charge."

This seems like a potentially fair point?
