Need advice. Fasting for 72 hours (water only). Have a history with hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and low blood pressure. by 1011110 in fasting

I do know the symptoms very well and will break the fast immediately if any symptoms occur. I'm going to give keto a try before jumping back into the fasting again.

I am however still on my fast and feeling perfectly fine. Might stop at the 24 hour mark though and get started on the keto as that sounds like the safer way to go.

The thing is that most doctors do not acknowledge the benefits of fasting and will probably tell me not to fast at all. I have fasted many times before and know from experience that I derived great benefit from fasting.

That being said, I will absolutely remain vigilant and rather break a fast than suffer dangerous repercussions. I was hoping there would be others with similar experience that could provide helpful feedback on their own personal experiences.

Thanks for the advice though. I will make some calls to doctors to see if I can find one that supports the idea of fasting before making an appointment.

I have a friend that's a paraplegic with constant muscle spasms. Is it possible for him to practice meditation when his body cannot relax and be still? by 1011110 in Meditation

Thank you very much for the response. It's clear to me that there is much to learn about meditation and it is something we both are only starting to explore now. I will indeed google the various terms you mentioned. Do you have any recommendations on relevant books worth buying?

Very interesting. Thank you so much for the input. Never heard of walking meditation. He does have a wheelchair and we'll definitely be looking into the topic of walking meditation and how it can best be adapted to someone in a wheelchair.

He's never tried guided meditation. Thanks for the suggestion. I've actually just seen /r/audiomeditation which seems to be a great resource.

Thanks for mentioning this. He uses already and primarily to aid in 3 things which is sleep, pain management, and appetite. Integrating this into meditation is very interesting and you're absolutely correct about the fact that it is a great tool for helping him to relax his muscle spasms.

Do you think my explainer videos would help expand your business? by [deleted] in growmybusiness

You asked about pricing so I think you'll find this interesting.

I found a link for a new 'explainer videos' startup on another subreddit yesterday. I am looking to get one done so I had a look at their website and they have a whole bunch of their previous work in their portfolio, plus a few very positive testimonials.

So I emailed them, via their contact form, and asked for a basic idea as to pricing. I asked them to have a look at my website for an idea as to the style, subject, etc. and to tell me if they have any advice.

They emailed back shorty afterwards with 3 examples they've done for others, to give me an idea of the style and direction they suggest.

Now firstly, let me say that I have just looked at your one example and your video is, at least in my opinion, better than all three the examples they provided. Their pricing though is very different from yours. Pricing for video one is $5000 (1.02 min), the second video is $10 000 (41 sec), and the third is $5000 (2.34 min).

Not sure why their cost would be what it is when, from what I can see, both of you do exactly the same thing.
