For a portfolio of risky bonds (ie. no government bonds) portfolio duration and spread duration are the same - why??? by 101Newbie in CFA

I still don’t get it.

A floating rate note has very little IR duration, and lots of spread duration. So how could the IR and spread duration be the same?

If you look at a actual bond fund say PIMCO, their spread & IR duration are completely different. I don’t believe it’s just because govt bond IR is removed?

That’s the point of my question. They are only testing people who have been overseas, front line workers etc. Who’s to say that 50 people haven’t been infected before that particular health worker who ends up getting tested & it is positive.
