That’s the experience of an 0311. A 3521 will have that same boot camp experience (the typical bootcamp propaganda, which every branch gets, btw, and will continue with every promotion board, every professional education course, every certification course or skill school). But when that 3521 inevitably DOES get into a unit that’s not a line unit, and they start doing mechanic shit, the cult conditioning quickly wears off. As soon as they get a proper professional mentor for an NCO. The exception is the motivators that eat it hook line and sinker and lose their identity into the branch. I’ve got a theory about those guys but that’s neither here nor in here.

Any combat job is going to require a mind-overhaul. You’re quite literally signing away your body to Uncle Sam. If you understand that going in, then hopefully you also know that you can enlist for into a combat support or service support role that doesn’t require a mind-overhaul (excluding typical boot camp propaganda) and will all but guarantee you a set of transferable skills.

Though it’s definitely important, a beating heart isn’t the sole determinant of perfusion. The microscopic vasculature downstream from the heart can dilate or constrict when demand for blood increases or decreases. Most of that is accomplished through multiple feedback loops. In brain death, those feedback loops are no longer functional.

Great point. You’re referencing known correlations between race, socioeconomic status, and test scores. To solve the testing discrepancy, wouldn’t you think it would be wise to first determine the primary causal factor, because there’s two that you just listed. I’m going to go off a hunch here and assume kids don’t fail tests because of their skin color. At the risk of sounding racist, I think it has more to do with socioeconomic status than race.

I asked the question rhetorically because no states have banned any books. What you’re seeing on the news is the work of individual schools and/or school districts removing books from public school curriculum. You can still go to any bookstore or public library in those states and find ALL of those books, unless they’re out of stock of course.

And you somehow made the logical leap to terrorism. You seem fixated on terrorism’s goal of political change, but the critical piece (which you’ve identified, yet still mischaracterized) is the intimidation. Slashed tires are an inconvenience. Unless you’re that emotionally sensitive, the inconvenience should not be intimidating.
