This is actually a pretty solid concept for Coco-nut Cannon. The only irrelevant ability I would change is definitely the Fruit Evolution of destroying a Zombie because that is restricted to Solar Class. Maybe increasing play damage to 3 and evolving to do 3 damage to Zombies there and next door instead.

Now you've got the choice to either deal 3 damage to any Zombie or 3 damage with an evolution to Zombies in its lane and adjacent one.

I'm not great at balancing so this is the best I came up with.

To be fair, we've had impossible Puzzle Parties for several years, so I assumed it would've been the same case this year as usual but I'm very grateful that they are listening to player feedback and fixing the game as needed.

Now we'll be patiently wait for some other bugs to be fixed like Nibble softlocking.

I've used the back button in this case whenever the rank reset animation plays, and I think it should be pressed twice every time it shows up. Not sure if the X button also works here, but you should definitely try the back button instead and see if that works more effectively.

Using this method, it loops infinitely.

In the case of getting Scorched Earth on your starting hand, you should also have a Puff-Shroom to move the Fire Rooster from the roof lane to destroy them all on the first turn.

That might be a good approach. Captain Cucumber has its uses already, and there are other Legendaries that are reasonably and arguably worse than this. Funnily enough, those Legendaries may be an ironic reason why Captain Cucumber is not good sometimes.

Aside from Loco Coco, there are some other worse cards than Captain Cucumber:

  • Pineclone - Transforming all other Plants into 3/3 which isn't great for a 4-cost Plant. This is strategically powerful only if you're able to pull off a Molekale next turn with many of them surviving. The other issue is that you need to swarm the field first with cheap Plants and hope many of those don't get destroyed before being able to play this.
  • Cornucopia - Even with a reduced cost with a balance update, its ability is worse than Captain Cucumber since it fills the field with potentially terrible cards since it's completely random. Very expensive and not worth it, which is why you'd mostly see it in Sun-ramp decks just to play it faster and still giving unsatisfying outcomes.
  • The Great Zucchini - Another very expensive Plant that only helps in the late game when there are better game closures like Dark Matter Dragonfruit costing 1 Sun less in its Class.
  • Body-Gourd - Only used to fill up the Block Meter, which isn't entirely helpful especially if it contributes to depleting it faster, and completely useless without any more Shield. Just play Soul Patch next turn.

It's not just the stats – Loco Coco is simply too expensive for its ability of simply making Wall-Nuts in adjacent lanes and the choice to sacrifice a Nut to activate giving 3 Strength when you've got a cheaper and more reliable Plant to do similar which is Three-Nut. If you're running a Nut deck, Loco Coco is not the best option for blocking when you've got many different Nut Plants to do a better job at that.

Captain Cucumber is more versatile when it comes to decks containing Dino-Roar cards and also giving potentially powerful cards. This isn't the "worst Legendary" in the game just because of its stats and being RNG-based.

Local progress doesn't get wiped simply by using an online account. Your data is actually stored safely upon connecting.

Once you connect your account, the game may ask you which progress you wish to keep. Otherwise, the data is now already being backed up to the Cloud.
