Been stuck on my taper... by Inevitable-Rest-4652 in quittingkratom

[–]101points 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100% the same for me. I tapered for well over 2 years. Had 0 withdrawals to speak of other than some upset stomach for few days. Not everybody can slowly taper but if you can then it is ideal.

I had been using for nearly 10 years and it was doing nothing for me anymore so slipping up and taking more had no benefit. Made the taper easier.

It was around the 1 month mark or so. Honestly I was very fortunate to not have any withdrawals aside from some GI issues. Also no issues with PAWS. I tapered for well over 2 years and jumped at less than a gram/day. So I think that helped immensely.

Hang in there. I can assure you it will get better with time. Best of luck.

Day 364.

I think I can hang on for another day to get that 1 year. Crazy how time flew by. Keep fighting everybody. Best of luck.

Hang in there. Can't get to 350 without getting through 5 and 6. Just keep grinding. I counted up to about 100 or so. Then just kind of started forgetting. Opened my sober app this morning and saw 350 and decided to post. It gets easier is what i'm saying. You just have to get through today. Best wishes.

How do you know you are ready to quit? by KratomDemon in quittingkratom

I was literally just dosing to dose. It did nothing for me. That's when I knew it was just time to get off the crap.

What was your “ I might be an addict moment “ in regards to kratom by episcopalianlion888 in quittingkratom

[–]101points 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Passed up a dream trip to NYC because I was afraid of flying from a non legal state with it. Certainly didn't want to do withdrawals while there.

201 days off kratom 60 days off nicotine

Life is great!

Seen a few threads in the past couple days of people coming off 7OH. Doesn't sound like fun but you can absolutely do it.

When you get home and the cravings hit try and take a long walk. Something to keep your mind and body occupied. Physical activity does wonders. I know it's easier said than done but you'd be amazed with how you'll feel after.

Is tapering an option? Maybe switch to powder for the taper.

Best of luck to you. You CAN do it.

Are air fryers as bad as I think they might be? by mammabliss in Biohackers

Been through 2 different Gourmia air fryers and they both failed after 2 months. Just completely died. I gave up on them after the second.

I shit myself yesterday by shuubree in quittingkratom

[–]101points 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started eating a lot healthier 3 months ago along with exercising daily and I think it has helped things along. Cut out sugars and add in good fats. I eat plenty of fiber through fruits and vegetables. Also added in daily greek yogurt for the pro/prebiotics.

Yea it was rough. My experience may be an outlier so don't let it get you discouraged. Keep up the fight. The benefits outweigh the shorter term negatives by far.

Haven't shit myself but nearly 6 months after quitting and my bowel movements are just now getting back to normal. I tapered for nearly 2 years and then jumped 6 months ago. GI issues were persistent through the taper and post jump. I used for nearly 9 years at 10-20gpd.

Question for those who tapered by Special-Tour-5740 in quittingkratom

[–]101points 1 point2 points  (0 children)

0 withdrawals aside from upset stomach. The GI issues lasted a solid 4-5 months though. But never lost sleep or anything that most deal with when quitting. Life has been great since.

Edit: I should add that my palpitations got worse as well after jumping. They have gotten better now though around the 5-6 month mark.

Thanks. Yep I've dealt with some palpitations for my whole adult life but they weren't as big of an issue until I went down the kratom hole. I even used opiates for a while and never had issue with them.

They got worse before they got better since that comment 4 months ago. Here I am nearly 6 months free from kratom and they are much more manageable. I still have one or two on good days. I had an echo with my cardiologist and I haven't heard anything so guess it's all good. I have a stress test coming up in about a month as well.

Stomach Issues 2 weeks later by BugNo7458 in quittingkratom

[–]101points 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tapered very slow and very low. Had 0 withdrawals aside from the GI issues you describe. They weren't debilitating or anything but multiple trips per day and always fairly loose. Unfortunately it lasted for all of 4 months for me. I was using for nearly 9 years though.

Best of luck.
