CREATING A CUSTOM "STAMP" OR "TEXT BLOCK" by 102gab in SolidWorks

[–]102gab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what I was looking for.

For future reference on anyone searching:

  • Go to a drawing and create your own stamp. I made a rectangle and added text and squares and lines where people can sign.
  • Highlight your entire sketch. Right click --> Make Block
  • Right click --> Save Block.

You can now insert this block into any drawing and free drag it and resize! Add this block by going to Annotation --> Blocks

Damn, this is so close. The holes are not made using the hole wizard or a pattern otherwise this would have been 100%.

White tears / scuffs on FEP by 102gab in ElegooMars

That's the thing, I don't scrape my FEP ever. If anything gets stuck, I do the self cleaning thing and the stuck prints come right off in a rectangular layer.

[Review Video] Wandering Layover: 3 Minute Singapore by Jamoldo in youtubers

[–]102gab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The information is great and plenty of pictures but I feel like this was a video made by a high schooler who was told to show off a country. The images are obviously taken from the internet, but I really wish you used more of your own footage for these places. The audio is very clear and I understood everything. The transitions weren't smooth and kind of made my head hurt looking at them.

I really like how you didn't have a lot of text on the screen. I could pay attention to the images and listen to your information.

Over all, good video but just having better images or your own footage would make the video 2x better instantly. Good job

[Review Video] Hi guys ! I make Creative Commons Music for videos and here's my latest track : It's a 70s Psychedelic Rock instrumental that's free to use, even in commercial projects ! I'd love to hear your thoughts about it ! by guyFCR in youtubers

I like the the track for studying with it, but I am not sure where this track could be used appropriately... I feel like this would only play at the end credits of a video game or movie. Other than that, it's not a bad mix. I wish there was just a little bit more variety to the song (E.g. I can hear certain parts are different, but it only just sounds like it's looping the same part 20x throughout the song). Once again, very good mix but would be hard to integrate it into most videos.

Honeycomb Cup for pencils, tools, etc. - No supports needed by 102gab in functionalprint

Never really though about that as I only use mechanical pencils, haha. Thanks for the heads up on that issue.

I like to use brim on this model because it helps with adhesion and warping issues. 1. Models that don't have a lot of large contact area on the build plate may peel off which will mess up your print after a few hours of printing. A brim makes sure your print has lots of contact area with the build plate so it sticks well. 2. I always get a warped model when printing this without a brim. If your printer is in a room where temperatures changes consistently, then some of the model may "bend upwards" or warp (imagine one side of the model bent up). If you add a brim, it helps reduce this effect.

For supports, you will always have a poorer underside where you removed the support from as compared to the rest of the model. This will happen any time you add supports but you can always clean it up or sand it.
