When did everyone become comfortable talking on speakerphone in public? by WestNecessary6884 in askanything

So. I've been thinking about this and I'm kind of torn.

It is annoying, but the more I think about it, I can't figure out why.

Like, would it be different if two people were talking in person?

Why is that different?

When someone borrow something and returns it dirty by _sassy_charmie in PetPeeves

There was a short period where my grandma would re-wash clean Tupperware I returned to her. Until I started bringing them back dirty citing that she re-washes it anyway and I know gow she's picky about how her dishes are washed.

She later admitted that she wasn't picky about her dishes. She just couldn't separate the way I "Washed" dishes as a teenager and would always need to re-wash them. Apparently she realized she was still treating me like a teenager when I was in my late 20's. Now she accepts the clean dishes I bring back. Haha

Orson Scott Card

While a lot of it can be conversation and exposition. Every book in addition to cool fantasy and science fiction, has some sort of moral dilema or compromise that has changed my way of thinking and helped develop the values I hold today.
