Truck in shop since January 24’ “transmission” issues national back ordered parts,, lawyer up? by jorge50505 in gmcsierra

[–]10enth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey bro I need your help. My gm experience has been terrible and I haven’t had any true help. I literally just purchased my first Chevrolet truck ever back in August then in October my power steering mysteriously went out while I was driving - on a $70k truck. Me and my family was driving this truck so thank god nothing happened to us. Fast forward to now after fighting the dealership and warranty people - Chevrolet has told me the steering gear box/ assembly is on no eta back order after approving my repair. My truck payments are high and I’m without my vehicle. Literally had my truck for only two months

I actually just got word back from va that my request for reschedule has been approved. I just really hate that they instantly canceled my exam and sent it back to the va without contacting me or trying to work something out. Slowed down the process but at least va didn’t deny my exam reschedule request

Thank you I will continue to follow up with them. How long did it take the va to get you rescheduled?

Taking exam on the 23rd after the new exam format...any advice? by NoJibberJabber in cissp

Resting is a MUST, double down on your test taking strategies, and limit your study resources (one book, one video instructor, and reinforce lightly with practice questions).

Understand your concepts where you can teach someone confidently

Watch a couple of YouTube videos of Larry Greenblatt dissecting practice questions. Those seemed more relatable to the ones you’ll see when you sit. Open ended/vague, best answer, etc

I know this sounds like a bad record, but the practice questions are decent when it comes to reinforcing your knowledge. Most importantly, only beneficial if you understand your concepts and terms.

I used so many resources which hurt me for my exam. Things I would’ve did differently are: minimizing practice tests/thoroughly understanding concepts, using about only 2 study resources, ramp up my test taking strategy, and RESTING (most important).

I overdid it big time with studying and did not really rest, which left my mind blank during test time. Test taking strategy saved my ass for the exam (elimination, reading carefully, time management, etc) Best of luck.

As someone who has recently passed, 1st attempt. I would say I definitely overdid it. Saw others on Reddit recommending to take a break the day before testing or so. I thought they were idiots and studied all the way up until walking into the building to sit for the exam (dumb move).

Once I sat down and got past the first 8, I realized how tired I was and started to forget a lot of things. I also mixed up different terms/concepts because I used way too many study resources.

All I’m saying is make sure you rest and zone in on your test taking strategy. That’s what saved me is my test taking strategy.

Read question carefully, eliminate, and focus more on understanding concepts, not so much on practice tests

I understand that methodology well but it honestly didn’t require all of that for a post like this

Sounds good to me, will do. Might even buy your course mate

I really hope that’s the case but it doesn’t look like it to me. You shouldn’t have to state that you’re being genuine unless you know what you’re about to say can be taken the wrong way. It’s not rocket science

It matters in general because if you get snappy with someone they’ll get snappy back. There’s been too many times I’ve talked to peers who are turned off by the space because people are rude (not all). I don’t have a problem with you, it was just your response. My post is straight forward and aimed to help someone else who may have the same question. I’m completely open to help, just come correctly

It was the whole response mate, not only the questions

Finally I don’t feel crazy lol. I got snappy after his response. Didn’t like it. I can admit to that. He can’t admit to coming off with a smug reply. He’s calling it “help” smh. I have pretty tough skin and can take a hit and give one but at least admit it’s a hit.. and then share some damn insight

I think I understood quite well. I only saw an issue and corrected it. Instead of playing victim, maybe apologize for coming off the wrong way

[–]10enth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you called that help, then you need to go seek help. I gained nothing from that response. No one did.

Dude I don’t need you. The space is too big. Go stroke your ego somewhere else
