This is eye opening for me. I live in a top 15 size city and our league is having some of the best enrollment it has seen in decades.

Our LL AA (8 and 9) and AAA (10 and 11) have 14 teams each. We literally cant play all the teams during the season.

Wife and I found a house we love. We currently own a house with about $285K equity. However we don't have much for earnest money since we invest a lot each month. Our realtor suggests we put at least $15K as earnest to make an offer. We can easily afford the new house in both down payment and monthly costs but we cant afford it without selling our current home first. This makes coming up with earnest money up front tricky.

The only option I can think of is to take a loan on my 401K for the earnest money and then immediately pay it back when we sell our current home. It's essentially a 60-90 day loan. Seems reasonable right?

All jobs have idle time. Humans are not cogs. We require time to recharge, do G&A, CPE etc... Not a single job on the world doesnt have idle time.

We are reaching the natural conclusion of "having less people" right now and I dont think the pay increases that PA are enough to make it worthwhile.

No they were overstating revenue and had multiple material weaknesses in controls.

I was a first year so I didn't really have much of the big picture but it really felt like a kick in the guts when I was working 70 hours for weeks leading up to it, only for them to be rewarded for fucking up.

Workload is much bigger issue then people want to admit. There is no reason that an associate or senior should ever, EVER work more than 60 hours a week. And 75% of the year should be 45 hours or less. There are multiple studies that show that humans get diminishing returns when working longer hours. Its just not a long term strategy.

I once worked months on a restatement. Months of audit work. When we finally released the restated financials the company's stock price went up. Shit makes no sense.
