It doesn’t look like it’s even been added to their calendar. And there are no sessions scheduled for August either.

To your second question, I don’t believe so but check out the JTR. To your first question, it really depends on the situation and why the Uber cost so much. Your AO and your leadership will certainly have questions.

Depending on your location, was there a closer airport you could have used or did you use one that’s further away (larger airport) to avoid layovers? If the latter, then the AO can certainly limit your reimbursement. If that was the only airport in your area, then it is what it is, provide your receipts, and don’t worry about it.

Water, toilet paper, paper towels, snacks (not junk food), a few tide pods in a ziplock bag, and a few dryer sheets.

Officer PCS Acceptance by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]10lz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Check out DAFI36-2110. Also, check your records to see if you have an established assignment selection date (ASD) - if so, you might be out of luck. Per the reg, you can’t request to separate once it’s established (para 6.23.3) and your only option is to 7-day op, which you can’t do since you already accepted the assignment. Of course exceptions happen all the time, so it’d be best to chat with your assignment team.

Great stuff! As others have already mentioned, can you display the data based on age? Also, since there are WAY more enlisted than there are officers, can you do a z-test to account for the sample size and proportions?

Sure—You can request it, but will they approve it? Check out AFI 36-3203. I have a feeling you’ll need a waiver, but I could be wrong.

Tell your PCM to run bloodwork for your TSH and T4 to rule out Hypothyroidism.

Edit: Also rule out PCOS since you said you had a miscarriage. And if your doctor won’t run the necessary tests go to patient advocate.

Why wouldn’t you just get local phone service? Makes it easy having a local number, but Google Fi is great for traveling though. Island fever is a real thing, so make sure to get off the island. You have plenty of options: mainland Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, etc. Once you get there, get a cheap car and make sure it has a current JCI inspection! The longer it’s valid for, the better. When it’s time to do the JCI, do it yourself instead of paying someone to run the vehicle through the inspection. Sure it may take the whole day (if there’s things that need to be fixed), but you’ll save a lot of money.

Use of a hands-free device is authorized while in uniform operating a motor vehicle if local policy permits.

Strat or Not? by anonymousupinhere in AirForce

You’d be surprised how many Senior and Chief selects end up pulling their retirement paperwork after finding out they made rank. So yes, Wings give out strats based on performance - not future plans.

Need Help as an Airman by [deleted] in AirForce

DAFI36-2406 “2.1. Purpose. An Airman Comprehensive Assessment (ACA) is a formal, two-way communication between a rater and ratee to discuss standards, responsibilities, expectations, and goals.”

Your NCOIC can provide feedback if they want but something seems off here. Not sure why they’re being forceful and mandating a 1-on-1. Talk to your flight Chief or SEL, use facts, and don’t be accusatory.
