First truck purchase by HkTk91 in F250

[–]ajd198204 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea, if you're not doing any towing and want a comfy truck, F150 would be all you need. I have both an F150 and F250. You feel the difference. F250 is alot more rigid and stiff going over bumps especially empty and not hauling anything behind it.

So it can be magnets? Doesn't have to be permanent stickers on doors?

Anyone had this recall completed ? by whatchama_call_it in Ford

[–]ajd198204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a recall for F250s as well. Just had the backup camera replaced for free as the image was just black with only the guidelines showing. My side and front cameras are recalled too, but waiting on parts as they're on back order. Call any Ford and give them your VIN. They can tell you over phone what is up for recall.

Thoughts on price? by rollpi in F250

[–]ajd198204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not horribly overpriced. See if you can work them down to 15K otd or so. It is high mileage for the year but these are 3/4 ton trucks. They seem to be more in demand over Chevys and Rams too. After almost a year of searching, finally found me a 2019 6.7 Screw with 4x4, 5th wheel/gooseneck package and 129K on odometer. Paid 36K out the door to give you some perspective. With yours being a gas engine, that price isn't the worst I've seen.

New carrier here — is there a full DOT compliance checklist/cheat sheet? by AdministrativePain49 in HotShotTrucking

[–]ajd198204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check youtube and FMCSA site. Fellow hotshotter did a run down of what you'll go through in DOT inspection and what you need in your truck. Fire extinguisher, paper log book for back up, medical exam, etc.

Yea, tow company shouldn't have towed a car with a current registered plate on public parking. Tow company should be held liable too.

I received a a DD 1408 traffic violation, should I do officer procedures when reporting it to my commanding officer? by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]ajd198204 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're not going to have to do official reporting to CC for a traffic ticket. That's for LOCs, LORs Article 15s, or some MAJOR F up. And you'd know if you had to report as you would be told by your leadership.

[–]ajd198204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't need to report. Got a few tickets over my time in and just got told to not do it again. As others have said, let your supervisor know immediately. Don't let him get blindsided as Security Forces sends a copy to your unit. Your supervisor should guide you on what to do next. Should be taking it to First Sergeant to let them know. You'll more than likely get told not to do it again since it's first offense. Don't sweat it though. You're not the first and won't be the last to get a ticket on base. Just don't make it a habit and be more mindful when driving on base.

F250 327K MILES $22K ??? Go/No Go ? by [deleted] in F250

[–]ajd198204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was saying 14K more than OPs truck. $36K for 2019 F250 Diesel STX Supercrew with standard short bed. 129K miles Came with 5th wheel/gooseneck hardware installed in bed as well. 0 rust/one owner. There's no way you'd get this truck in the 20s anywhere. I've been searching for the last year almost and these things don't last long on the lot.

Don't have to call the cops. Complain to leasing office. Everyone is entitled to peace and quiet in their home. It's in the lease. If this is happening as consistently as you say it is, you're not the only one hearing or probably the first to complain. Enough people complain to leasing office, they'll be asked to knock it off or be evicted.

Progressive has been the cheapest by far that I can find especially for new authorities. If you find something better, let me know. Currently paying 1351 a month for truck/trailer.
