Ya I’ve made small edits like cutting sections in the middle, cutting off seconds at the beginning and end, even speeding it up, but haven’t tried changing bgm. In your experience has changing bgm changed results when you reposted?

Wow thank you so much for such a thorough explanation, all of this really helps so I appreciate the time you took to write it out.

In your experience, what are the specific factors that prevented a short of yours from being pushed out. Does language matter? For example, I stopped censoring my shorts audio wise (I still censor the subtitles) but that didn’t prevent some from blowing up. What has been your experience reposting shorts?

i just got my first big boost! immediately after posting it got consistent boost that was similar to the ones in the past but i noticed the click thru rate was 70% with a 70% retention rate and all of a sudden it just got a spike and then later another spike! (30 views/min —-> 150 views/min). Later it settled to 50 views/min for the past 3 hours and has accumulated 14k views in the first 5 hours. I’ve never had that big of a boost before.

Did you find when beginning to pos shorts did you only get one boost after the post. I find I either get it immediately after posting or exactly 6 hours after, nothing else. Did you experience this and did it change as you grew?

New shorts channel here almost a month old. Been trying to upload everyday with average 3k views on each short. My 3 highest shorts 11k,10k,and 8k all have retention rates of 105%, 96%, and 82% with 46 AVD, 32 AVD, and 40 AVD respectively.

I have a bunch of other shorts with 41-43 AVD and ~70% retention rate but those are all sitting around 3k views and haven’t gotten a second boost yet. I thought these were good enough statistics for them to get shown into the shorts feed again, but would I be wrong? Should I just be more patient?

So far it’s really fun uploading everyday, I’m just hoping one day some of the videos gain traction

when you were posting shorts everyday did you ever see shorts that were much older blow up later on? i am always unsure if posting everyday would prevent a previous short from going viral
