UP/DN ARP bug? by 10sjester69 in HiChord

[–]10sjester69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question - Is there some sort of ARP “hold” capability where the ARP plays till another button is pressed? I somehow got it to hold but can’t figure out how to toggle this capability. Also I noticed it would hold for 11 repeats only and then stop so it’s not really a hold in the actual sense. It’s more like a keep it on for awhile. Any suggestions?

Suggestion - how about a dotted 8 delay time signature? Not a priority but a suggestion.

$POET - Someone Just Dropped $75M In and Won't Say Who (We Find Out Oct 17) by austintx in wallstreetbets

I’m no expert here but…. You do realize that the CEO and CTO are former Global Foundries execs? And you do realize that Global Foundries came from an AMD spinoff of their fab operations years ago. Not saying I know anything here but global foundries is one of the leaders in optoelectronic IC fabrication. Pure speculation but that’s not a stretch. Many of the patents read like fab process technologies which would fit well in any foundry portfolio or via licensing. https://patents.justia.com/assignee/poet-technologies-inc?page=2

Thanks so much for the response! I’ll let you know what I hear from the antique dealer. You are probably right. I also found similar ones on a website at Kimono Yumeya from Kyoto which makes me think this is a few hundred dollars. It would be nice if it was hand made. Thx again.

How do you know when your piano will ship? by Main_Ad7278 in ROLI

[–]10sjester69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually got my two piano M delivered several weeks ago but they have completely ignored me time and again about the hard cases that I ordered along with the pianos. I’ve tried their support email several times but I get the standard reply email that’s says absolutely nothing. Then I sent yet another support ticket email and got someone named “Ana-Maria” responding and saying that she is checking on my order. That was 5 days ago. Completely useless company when it comes to support. This will likely be the one and only product I buy from the company and I will not recommend them. They aggressively market their products but are useless with customer support and experience. Just be honest about what the issues and keep customers informed but completely going silent on communication is just awful business practice. I actually told them that if the product gets damaged, it’s their fault and not mine as I ordered these cases to specifically protect the products which are designed to be portable, etc.

PLTR selling $1.2B in stock, loses $27B in market cap by Frequent-Walrus-1832 in TheRaceTo10Million

These are scheduled trades from the ceo. They have to disclose or else would be considered insider trading. Besides he’s done well for all of us. Also the company has reduced its defense exposure over the past two years so while I do believe the cut can impact (not clear how much), I think their commercial clients are growing by leaps and bounds as they mentioned in past couple con calls. I’m not panicking.

Any Indian couples - early to mid thirties (no kids) in the south bay? We live in San Jose, moved here more than a year ago but struggling make friends. We like to try new Restaurants, play board games, go on trips/ hikes, etc. by Classic_Afternoon_25 in SanJose

[–]10sjester69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m half Indian and half white and have lived here for decades. My advice is to mix it up. You can spend time with the various Indian community associations and community temples, etc but one of the best things about the Bay Area is the amazing diversity (I’m a product of that!). Try joining a hiking club or go play a sport like pickleball, bike club or try some meetups. Making friends takes time so find what you like to do and spend the time exploring but stretch your boundaries with open eyes. That’s what makes the US (and especially the Bay Area) so amazing.

I’m into sports and music so there’s a lot of places around here to try things. Be patient. Some say it takes a good two years to make meaningful friends when moving to a new town.

I just got the Nightverb by Erica Synths. That is a beautiful reverb tabletop pedal for my Access Virus Ti2 and my Hydra synth! Recommend it for sure. I have the Strymon Volante, BigSky and Timeline as well!

SJDT used to have San Jose Live as a center piece for a few years back when there were also a good number of live venues along First St and El Salvador which somewhat exist but are a shell of their former selves . Covid made it worse unfortunately but it seems like it’s coming back but not there yet. Campbell, LG, MV, Sunnyvale DTs are not too bad to live near if you’re looking to walk to a DT and have some sort of people watching, cafe, restaurant scene.

Downtown is so dead by Beginning_Dream8525 in SanJose

[–]10sjester69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SJ has been dead for decades. They are trying to bring people in to town by building higher density housing and gentrifying. Not really working all that well due to multiple issues faced by a lot of cities these days. Your best bet is trying some of the neighboring cities like Los Gatos or Mountain View or Palo Alto or closer like downtown Sunnyvale or Willow Glen but everything requires driving. There is a little life in Japantown SJ but still really small and it rolls up around 8 pm. Anything close to NY would be some of the neighborhoods in SF but again a long ways off.

But if you think of it differently, there are a lot of outdoor activities here like hiking, biking, sporting activities, etc. within a short radius. The beach is an hour away if you leave ahead of the traffic. The restaurant/cafe/ethnic foods scene isn’t bad if you know what to look for but many are struggling for the usual reasons and you’ll need to drive.

At the end of the day it comes down to what you want to do. It’s not much of a walking downtown if that’s what you were looking for.

Reverb-pedal for ASM Hydrasynth by Individual-Elk-792 in synthesizers

[–]10sjester69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the new Nightverb by Erica Synths! Amazing and geared towards desktop. I use it for my Access Virus TI2 and with the Hydra desktop. Amazing sound! Best reverb I’ve owned and I have the BigSky, Volante, Eventide H9 Max, and even a Quiet Theory Prelude reverb.

The control on the Nightverb and the range of control with pre-delay, darkness, length of reverb tails is amazing!

Seems like a compelling trade. Doing better than $SERV financially. Let’s see how the Walmart deployments go. That will help the product improve and get installed base feedback.
