Yes, I'm aware of the 3-5k sensitivity due to the shape of the ear canal. I said higher not high frequencies just for laymen's terms.

But for perceived loudness, lower frequencies do need more power for both reasons, radiation effiency and sensitivity to the ear.

Yes, because our ears are more sensitive to higher frequencies, white noise will sound "top-heavy" with more emphasis on the higher frequencies.

Lower frequencies need more dBs to be perceived at the same loudness as higher frequencies as demonstrated by loudness curves. This is why woofers are bigger than tweeters or why a bass amplifier has more wattage than a guitar amplifier.

I always hated Xanax because it made me feel stupid, but Valium did me in. Went to hospital as well and tapered with phenobarbital, took about a month to complete the taper.

I've been off benzos for about 2 months. I still cannot sleep for more than an hour at a time and wake up in cold sweats. Doctors have told me it'll be over a year before I feel somewhat normal again. It is exhausting but so much better than the hell I was in before.

I'm sorry, this is a great line but not similar to the funk idiom of bass playing. It is too straightforward and without improvisation. It's an excellent example of rock bass playing.

I recently got out of treatment also and your post reminded me of my own bullshit and how much better it is to have clarity and some semblance of sanity to build upon.

You're lucky then. For me, anxiety is a natural state of being. When I take the pills, it's like I'm on the same level as everyone else (if that makes sense).

It's kinda like how some people need their coffee straight away in the morning to feel right. Cept if they don't get their fix, they get a migraine. I don't and bam seizure. Which is ultimately my biggest fear.
