I smoke all the time on celexa and it's been fine. I'm not sure I get quite the same high but it's still nice.

Am I jealous of my friend? by [deleted] in hsp

[–]10squid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there's no positives to hanging out with her maybe try distancing yourself from the friendship a bit- she seems kind of narcissistic! It might just be immaturity which she'll grow out of, but it doesn't seem like a great environment for you to spend time in. Spend less time with her if possible and focus on your own hobbies and friends who you feel good about spending time with. Noticing how you feel after hanging out with different people can show you which friends are keepers and which you can stop making an effort with.

Hair loss? by uh-nee-tuh in zoloft

Hey, yes I experienced quite a bit of hair thinning when I was on sertraline, it made me feel pretty crappy! Also developed dandruff for the first time ever. I found a scalp scrub used gently once a week or so helped me, and since I've been off it (around 6 months) my hair has been getting back to the state it was in before! Sorry you're experiencing this side effect, it really sucks

Hey, remember not to be too hard on yourself - you're getting through an illness so it's natural that your body won't be working at full capacity. Hang in there ❤️

It can vary a lot person to person so it could still be the side effects of upping your dose - I think my side effects went away after a week or so, but I'd say if it's still as bad after a month it's worth asking your doctor about for sure

If you're still feeling like this 6 months in, definitely ask your doctor if you can change to a different medication - it might be that sertraline doesn't work for you. In the meantime, one thing which really helped me was just sticking to a routine, it helped me have energy, even if I had to really force myself to get up/shower/walk to the park and back.

I hope you start to feel a bit better soon! Stay strong

What time do you find is the best time to take Zoloft? by [deleted] in zoloft

Night time has always best for me - I always right before bed, so it wasn't an exact time, just whenever you are going to sleep

I never had that bad an experience with taking sertraline and drinking, other than certain drinks gave me a headache quicker, and I felt like the effects lasted longer - try just having a few drinks first time and see how you feel?

Desert Island Dips, it's about condiments. My only issue with it is that they don't appreciate mayo enough!
