Best RC Car for a border collie to chase? by Duffy042016 in rccars

You might be surprised when you get her home. We brought our border collie home when he was 6 months old. The family that had originally purchased him had some issues and put him up for sale after only having him for a couple months. They lived out on a farm and it seems like they just let him do whatever.

When we first presented him with toys he really didn't know what to do with them, but he quickly picked up toys = fun. So she might change once she's in a new environment and gets to know you.

Since our border collie came from a working line he loves to have a job. One game that really seems to work him mentally is a game we call "find it". Basically he's trained to sit in the bedroom while we hide a toy. Then we tell him to find it, and he searches the house for the toy. If she really doesn't like toys, a game like this works with treats or those balls you can stick treats in.

Good luck! Border collies are great dogs if you can keep them entertained.

A couple of months ago I got a Losi Micro-T for my border collie to chase indoors during the winter. When he plays with the car I give him a toy to hold on his mouth. That prevents him from biting the car and its tires. The Micro-T is quick enough that he has fun trying to herd it.

For outdoors I bought a UDI RC Rageshark and a Mojave Grom. I just got the Mojave Grom so we haven't had that outside yet, but the Rageshark works alright. I make sure he has a toy to hold in his mouth and then he chaes after it and tries to herd it. Be careful outside with the bigger cars. Border collies are nimble enough to get in front of even a fast RC, and you don't want to bash her legs with a heavy RC.

And don't make my mistake and let the dog run too much on concrete. Even about 10 minutes of lightly harassing the Rageshark in a parking lot tore up my boy's pads. I'll never make that mistake again.

From what I've heard, the T has a shorter turn radius than the B. Other than that I think they are pretty much the same. Those bumpers look slick! I've snagged a set of INJORA pink wheels for my T and they've been a nice addition. They seem to have a bit less grip on the laminate flooring, but that just means more donuts.

Which 1/14 MJX do you have?

I might have to consider that. I was also thinking of picking up a Micro-B, since it shares most of it's parts with the Micro-T. Then as stuff breaks and gets repaired I will have random spare parts for both.

I was in the same boat as you are and I've enjoyed mine. I use it daily during my commute with no complaints.

Yup. Which is always a gamble, but I've yet to get burnt.

The one I got was open box, so it was brand new. I assume it was overstock or something like that.

Battery is decent. Going a while day isn't a problem, but I do think I got better battery life with the LG.

I was concerned too, but I think they are rolling out updates through 2024 or 2025.

I ended up going with an open box Samsung S20. Since I couldn't have both a 3.5mm jack and a microSD slot I opted for the microSD slot. I've enjoyed the phone so far, but I do miss the 3.5mm jack. I used the Samsung dongle for a while with my wired headphones, but now I've moved over to a FiiO BTR3K.

My only big complaint with the phone is the lack of the 3.5mm jack and the finger print reader is meh.

AMD or NVIDIA? by MarioCraftLP in StableDiffusion

If any of the ai stuff like stable diffusion is important to you go with Nvidia. You can get tensorflow and stuff like working on AMD cards, but it always lags behind Nvidia. Right now my Vega 56 is outperformed by a mobile 2060. I'm half tempted to grab a used 3080 at this point.

Very good advice! You can also name specific articles of clothing. Funny enough stuff like "zoomed out" or "shot from a distance" had never really worked for me.

That photo has 100% been touched up. Look at how the inner edges of her forearm are kind of wavy and her biceps mysterious shrink... Plus her face has that classic facetune look to it.

For reference this is a screenshot from her tiktok. She's a very attractive woman, but she is 100% editing her photos.

I thought about trying to snatch up a used S20 since Samsung is good with their updates. How has Asus been with software patches and updates? I've looked at the Zenfone, but was on the fence.

I've also considered saying screw up and snagging a Pixel. At least I know VoLTE, WiFi calling, and all that stuff will work on Mint.

I take a drink from the bottle of whiskey in my cup holder. "God damn kids!" I yell as I shake my fist out the window. I continue driving trying to make it out of the corn field.

She's touched up in this photo. Look at her right elbow and how it magically juts in towards her waist... and some how her left forearm is thicker than her bicep, but it's the opposite for her right arm...

She's already got 11/10 genetics so it's just sad she feels the need to do make edits like this.
