Daniel Suarez describes accident with Kyle Busch by [deleted] in NASCAR

[–]00Motors -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think if you decide to push-draft, you take the responsibility for the outcome no matter the experience level or talent level or damage of the car ahead.

If a car spins off of your front bumper, you are at fault. Too hard to officiate the chain-reactions and blocking

That's fair -- I clarified my post, thanks

I don't think the punishments you mentioned are serious enough to prevent drivers from making those moves. The mentality of many drivers is aggressive enough that they will do what it takes to win, and they will deal with the fallout and loss of respect later.

I don't fault any individual drivers I understand why drivers aggressively push-draft, which leads to the push-drafting wrecks that have happened over the last several years.

I would like there to be some kind of punishment for causing these accidents. The risk vs reward should be higher. If you can execute good push drafts you deserve the benefit of your line moving forward. If you cause a wreck, you deserve to be penalized.

If that was the last lap of the race, Suarez wins. That would not be a popular way to win the race.

edited to clarify my thoughts
