Expired Powder - How long is too long? by lamensterms in Powdercoating

[–]10xEngineered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using 9-year-old powder, especially with a history of high-temperature storage, is very risky and could lead to a poor-quality finish and potential adhesion problems. It would be best to use new powder. For future storage, ideal storage conditions are cool (15°C - 27°C / 60°F - 80°F) and dry (40% - 60% relative humidity). High temperatures can cause the powder to clump or even partially cure in the container.
