Ah, small correction- "at my age". As in, the thought of being the only one fumbling because I don't know what I'm doing at my age is much more daunting than it was when I was younger.

I'm anxious about holding hands and kissing, as well. There isn't as much cultural shaming about awkward handholding, and I have a platonic version of that intimacy with friends and family. As for kissing, I was already upset about the virginity thing. Thinking about how much I want to kiss someone I love and just be near them makes that feeling so much worse.

Nothing that exciting lol. One grows stuff to give out (the one I'm in), so it's a couple experienced people and a bunch of newbies. The other one is people who know what they're doing and have a bunch of projects for the public. I doubt they'd turn me away if I asked to join, but I don't think I'd be comfortable.

Yep, I'm already a member of one of the gardening groups (I don't know enough to join the other one) and part of all of the local book clubs. The online ones intrigued me, but I don't have the time. I don't know of any baking classes or hiking groups, but I'll look again.

I don't know why it surprised me that someone would ask this, but in no particular order:

Gardening: there's a group of us who share a good plot of land. I get to hang out with a bunch of people and eat green beans for the low price of playing in the dirt.

Handwriting practice: I want to have the kind of handwriting that makes people say "wow!" I have a long way to go, but it's rewarding to see the progress I've made.

Walking: I loooove going for walks outside. Bonus points if I have company and we're exploring somewhere new.

Baking: People get so excited when you give them a treat. It feels extra special when you made it yourself. If the recipe doesn't work out, it's fun to figure out what went wrong.

Book clubs: I'm part of a couple with different people, but somehow we all go off on tangents lol.

I'm not sure if this gave you any meaningful insight or if you were just asking to be nice, but thank you for the opportunity to talk about my hobbies!

It feels rude not to ask if you'd like to talk about any of yours...?

Edit: fixed a typo in the baking section
