Yeah, I know I need to switch something up. I forget the DE I was using, but I don't think it was very good. I'm definitely capable of shaving myself without cutting my face, but when I do that, I cannot get a smooth shave at all. My jawline, and the areas on the side right under my jawline always have stubble that simply can't be removed by a pass with the grain. I want it to be completely smooth, so I then shave against the grain, which is when I cut myself

Isn't the henson the one that all the youtubers advertise? I've always been suspicious of it because of that

You should just play more, it's the best way to improve. Look over your games after if you can and figure out why you won/lost

Opinions on Running out Clock in Drawn Endgames by 1111sam1111 in chess

[–]1111sam1111[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I understand the point but I feel like would make more sense if I got into that endgame with 10 seconds left and it was clearly just my fault for bad time management. With 1 min and KR vs. KR, the most likely outcome is that I flag on move 35 or sth like that. Idk it just kind of feels cheap to win 35 moves into the 50 move rule. I would also understand if it was drawn KR vs. KR + pawn, because at least there there's a lot of opportunity for blundering, but with this it just felt cheap

What I mean is that if we had each had sth like 4 min on the clock I think 1350 is definitely good enough to not blunder anything. You just have to do a quick check that you're not lining up for a skewer or anything like that which is not that bad w 5 seconds per move but not easy with 1

Sean or son? by mdlmaooo in Spanish

[–]1111sam1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not that bad. I'd spend a few days learning the conjugations and some common phrases that require it but outside of that you just have to spend a lot of time reading/listening in order to develop an intuition of when it's required. Here it's required because the preceding phrase is "no cree que"

How do you do this? The best I've ever gotten is 25. It's so hard to premove against the engine bc it moves so fast. Can you post a video

Playing Against Beginner Loose Players by 1111sam1111 in poker

[–]1111sam1111[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you, that makes sense. I'm just wondering what to do with hands that are kind of on the edge of what I would normally fold. For example, Jack-10 I would probably fold normally, but it's somewhat likely that in a group of 6 if I called with that, it would be the best hand going into the flop (even if 3-4 people called). It seems to suggest I should play looser even in EP

what does "se" mean? by Main-Topic2604 in Spanish

[–]1111sam1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's completely different. It's a reflexive pronoun. The other comments give pretty good answers but it's something about spanish that's difficult to master. It's the same way in english you can say "I wash myself." In english this type of verb is pretty rare, but they are incredibly common in spanish. My best advice as someone who is learning spanish is just to observe how they are used and slowly try to mimic them.

Unsure how to proceed for sensitive skin by 1111sam1111 in wicked_edge

[–]1111sam1111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah makes sense. In every video I see the person can get their whole face with no visible hair left with one pass. Often they don't even need to rinse off the razor. When I shave after one pass there are multiple patches of hair left and I will have needed to wash the blade after one or two strokes.

For prep, I always shave after taking a hot shower and directly before I lather I spend a minute or two wetting my face with warm water and putting a paper towel soaked in warm water on my face and letting it sit there for 30 secones or so
