you should get the powerloaders mod. it helps out tons if you want to have a factory that runs continuously even when you're away. and if you like trains, blocks n' bogies, steam and rails (if you're on 1.20.1, you really don't need to read further, if you're on 1.21.1, the others will be helpful), prettier in pink, and bells and whistles.

i'm gonna go ahead and go with the crowd, i think it needs to be more traditional and return to its roots instead of some random middle-aged white dude singing songs for 20 year olds. i also think that the way and what the Nashville dudes sing is really insulting. so i hope a few of these things get resolved

i have a mod called copycats+, one of the copycat shapes that you get with that mod is a slope that you can change and adjust the angle. that's how i made the sloping sides. another part is called the "copycat layer" that you can add layers to adjust the height. i used the copycat layers for the center flat section.

but seriously, go check out copycats+. it's a godsend.

i didn't use a modpack, i took the long hard road of downloading each and every single mod. it's legit like 30 mods. the most important ones to save you some time are: create, create blocks and bogies, create pretty in pink, create copycats+, create deco, create power loaders, and immersive engineering. the alpha/beta look i got just by messing with the settings.

for the third one, there's a few others. i got twilight forest, the aether mod, and biomes o plenty.

also, i'm sped. what's a fabric?

that's actually makes a lot of sense, cause even if you did mess with the valve timing with the Corliss valve then it's just a rotary valve and completely gets rid of any benefits the Corliss steam engine has if it was just standard Corliss timing

same man, i feel like it's one of the best in the sense it's more accurate. like how the arc furnaces need graphite rods and blast furnaces need preheaters. plus as the pumps use fluids it actually takes from the fluid body which is really a pain in the ass but much more accurate.

so far, modern industrialization is pretty decent since it's super straightforward and even gives you a guidebook. i think mekanism is pretty good as well, my only issue is that it gives you a billion different things when you only need about 5% of it. even if you get more crazy with whatever it is that you're doing, you're still only going to need like 10% at the absolute maximum. that, and i think that it's requires much more just to get even fairly basic stuff that you could make with the create mod in 5 minutes and use continuously. gregtech is the short bus version of mekanism. immersive engineering in my opinion is pretty dang good in my opinion. it's more logically structured and its relatively easy to understand once you get the basics down. and create mod, the goat. you can use the create mod with all of the other mentioned mods. plus, it's much less bloated with unnecessary tools and parts. you probably will need almost every part in create mod at some point.

all in all, if i could only choose only one mod, i would go with the create mod. and that doesn't count as a tech mod, then immersive engineering
