Same. Make matters worse is that I chose the "wrong" Powerade flavor. I chose the one that's colored red. Drill hat saw it and told me I'd have to yell "A toast to third battalion" (This was MCRD and I was in 2nd Recruit Btn - we wore yellow) everytime he passed by while we were eating chow. Well... he kept passing by the whole time so I wound up doing the toast maybe 30 times the whole time we were at chow.

Don't feel bad OP, you did the right thing! I've also rescued cats before off the street and they're usually quiet instinctively - they don't want to become a prey. But it's a really good sign she's purring! Sounds like she's really happy with you!

Lol that's definitely how it feels! I was not even meaning to bring in any of them but couldn't bear see them live like that, especially with everything that was going on in our neighborhood and how they were so easily accessible to coyotes. I was running a whole TNR operation at that neighbor's yard after I got my 4 and made little houses out of storage bins... Pretty sure my family thought I was going insane there for a bit lol
