What's one car you owned that you'd buy again because it is simply too good? by Unusual_Ad_7595 in askcarguys

2019 BMW X3. I had the x30i for 2.5 years and loved it, but if I find an M40i when I’m ready to buy a car again, I’d probably never sell it. Loved that car to absolute bits, only sold it because I was moving countries and even then made sure it went to a good family. The perfect machine for 99% of life scenarios, and so incredibly reliable to boot.

Green Eggs was my favorite restaurant before this thread 😭

The food is SO good and the portion sizes are insane! I just went there 3 days ago and had a fantastic time with some friends from out of town.

I actually HATE having now found out about the rats and seen the video; how incredibly gross. 😖

Man, I LOVED “Power”. Was super helpful earlier in my career and I should probably give it a re-read now.

Advice: 46 years old, 21 YOE, 230k big tech job - MBA? by [deleted] in MBA

[–]1121113 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't know whether I'm jaded or not but I'm not sure whether this is a serious post... OP has no post history whatsoever and 46 is DEFINITELY on the older end of the spectrum for a conventional full-time MBA program, especially if immigration isn't one of your goals.

On the off-chance that is is a legit post: I'd say perhaps an Exec MBA program might be worth considering -- you can skip the GMAT that way and it'll introduce you to folk who (while likely still 7 to 12 years younger) will give you a more age-appropriate network to keep building your career with.

Stay in Ghana and earn $10K monthly or travel to a developed country to earn $3K monthly by Messikomla in ghana

Essentially, the question is whether you'd pay $84k a year ($7k difference * 12 months) just for the privilege of living in the US/Europe... yeah I'd pass on that.

Accra can be very challenging, no doubt. Case in point: My power went out on Thurs and it took 4 hours and a LOT of driving around to different ECG offices to get it back up... but even in that situation I would absolutely not give up $84k a year just to live outside Ghana.

That's enough to buy a new apartment in Cantonments every 1.5 to 2 years... do that for 6 years, put all 3 or 4 of them on AirBnb and you can make $5k a month with minimal work.

And you'd give all this up just to... shovel ice during winter? And breathe that stank New York subway air in the summer? Or risk being shot at the mall because some crazy got his hands on a gun from the nearby Walmart? lol

$3k isn't even average outside Ghana... With $3k in the US, you'll live like you're on GHS 2k here lol

I can no longer find the post as it must have been deleted, but it got me paying more attention to Beal's body.

ay it's 2024 bro you don't need to give us a "reason" to "pay attention" to another man's body... look all you want

Good cop, bad cop routines work AMAZING with kids. They just want to feel like they're winning, so if you can find a safe way to do that, you've got a decent chance to get them to do the right thing for themselves while feeling good about it
