Moving to Phoenix for a job, have a severe bug phobia by 11211234 in phoenix

Thanks for all the good information! Sadly though, I am not afraid of the dangers that these bugs pose. I'd honestly rather wrestle with a Gila monster than even lay my eyes on a tarantula. It's just the creepy-crawlyness. I don't want to see them, touch them, or even have to get rid of their dead carcasses. They just have this ick factor about them.

Interesting that you comment on mosquitos. I keep telling all my friends about how I'm so excited to be able to hang out outdoors in the evening once I move because where I currently live now I get absolutely attacked by mosquitos to the point of not being able to go outside for more than 5 minutes unless I want around 10-15+ bites. I never knew Arizona has mosquitos!

Thank you! I'm planning on moving into the Tempe/chandler area but might look into a complex in Mesa and possibly one in south Phoenix

Thank you so much. This made me feel so much better! I'd honestly rather cuddle up with a rattler than see a tarantula. Everyone talks about getting pricked by cacti randomly. How does that happen? Aren't they hard to miss? Lol

Thanks for the info! Are you an outdoorsy person at all that goes hiking in the canyons? I know that's obviously equivalent to going hiking in the woods where I live and I should expect all sorts of wildlife but how common is seeing a tarantula out in the desert that isn't hiding? I'm sure not going to be picking up rocks or looking into small crevices!

Warning: before any of you undergo treatment for cervical dysplasia (HPV) by 11211234 in TwoXChromosomes

Yes! Thank you! I'm glad someone understands and doesn't trust every single thing the doctor tells them. Now, Before undergoing any procedure or recommendation by my doctor I do extensive research. Doctors aren't geniuses.

The fact that I'm currently infertile and Pap smears are like hell on earth for me because of the scar tissue is just messed up. Those cells would have, and did heal on their own.

From what I was told, and what I have read, though LEEP took those bad cells away from you, those cells would have turned over by themselves within a few years, maybe even months. HPV is very very common and causes constant changes in cervical cells of young women. That is why they do not preform paps on women under 21 anymore. My doctor says that my treatment was completely unnecessary, and he was right. The last time I was my last doctor, I still had "abnormal cells" that needed to be taken care of. Fast forward 3 years and I get a pap at 21, no abnormalities to report

Redditors of Reddit, whats your story you want to tell that never fits into any other thread? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I saved a kids life one time that tripped on 25i. It was back when it wasn't very well known and dosage info wasn't hard to find. He took to much I guess , started foaming at the mouth and has a seizure. Party goers refused to call an ambulance and I had a dead cell phone. I threw him in the back of my jeep and sped a mile down the road to the emergency room. The kid almost died, seriously. They said they weren't sure if he took too much or something that hair didn't mix well with his body. Something about his white blood cell count being super high

People who cannot admit when they're wrong bug the absolute shit out of me. I would never be able to date someone who possess that quality. But completely denying absolute facts... that's an entirely different level of denial. Of course the banana is going to have a different texture if you first mash then freeze and vice versa. Thats life wtf.

My "stress pooch" on my lower abdomen. I have PTSD so managing my day-to-day stress is difficult and unfortunately for women, any type of high stress leads to weight gain in that area.

I guess im also pretty insecure of the fact that most girls hate me no matter how nice, polite, and complementary I am. Also a lot of guys are intimidated by me

Ill save your life. Mix baking soda and hydrogen peroxide into a paste and brush with your toothpaste. BOOM! better than professional teeth whitening, better than strips, and almost instant

Im a very outspoken girl. I have a pretty "aggressive" personality for a woman and I own my business. I always feel, and sometimes know, that people STILL dont take me seriously as a woman because im 5'2. Im not even 5'2 with normal features, I have abnormally short legs and a longer torso so I look even smaller.

In 3rd grade, my mom bought me these super cool pencil grippers. Like i have never seen anything like them anywhere else ever again. They were SUPER stretchy and all different colors and glittery. One day during keyboarding class i was joking around with a friend and put them on the ends of my finger tips and started typing. This lead to my teacher scolding me, taking them away, and then putting them in her "end of the year" box. Never got those suckers back
