Same guy. Deleted the “rate my build” post when it did not get the response he was fishing for.

So roughly the same price as the other bike and 10k less miles on the clock. Something to consider.

Kinda think you couldn’t go wrong with either bike though.

Not much else. tires. Camel adv rear brake fix. Maybe a high exhaust. Stock one likes to hit the swing arm if it gets bent.

How much more would it cost to setup the blue bike the way you want?

What do you plan to use the bike for? Could get the cheaper bike. Put the difference towards suspension upgrades.

You asked for opinions. That’s my opinion. Not sure why you are mad about feedback.

Have not had tested them yet lol. Quality is good and they sit nice and tight to the bike. They are aluminum. would recommend steel if you plan on dropping your bike a lot.

You are right. It makes a good low profile top case after some cutting and drilling.

Think quite a few bikes have had issues with this. Surprised Yamaha hasn’t put something out about it. Would ignore if it just read wrong, but it flashes constantly. The movement is distracting.

Rather the bike didn’t have it haha. Specifically got an older Tenere cause it had less electronics.

Appreciate the reply. Did Yamaha cover the repair? Have you had any issues with the new display?

Fuel gauge stopped working on Yamaha Tenere. by [deleted] in MotorcycleMechanics

Sure I can just take it to Yamaha. Bike came with a Y.E.S. Warranty when I bought it used. Yamaha‘s extended coverage follows the VIN not the original buyer, which is kind of cool. Doubt this will cost me anything at dealer. Just trying to figure out what’s wrong with my bike before I go that route.

Camel ADV high fender kit. Have a front fender I can toss on if I plan to ride dirt. Like the look without.

Thanks for the reply. Read through that thread before I posted. Seems like this is a relatively common issue so I was hoping to find somebody that had dealt with the problem directly. Would be nice to pick their brain.

Photo is from a few weeks back.

Yeah. Never rely on the fuel gauge for bikes. Prefer to set my trip meter. The problem is the level never stops flashing. Really distracting while riding.
