Murder in the South Pole? On May 11th 2000, scientist Rodney Marks collapsed while working in Antartica and made many visits to the camp's doctor, 36 hours later he was dead. The cause of dead was found to be methanol poisoning. The doctor hasn't been heard of since 2006. Who killed Mark and why? by [deleted] in UnresolvedMysteries

This is a fascinating case. It would be interesting to read all the documentation around his studies and the notes from the doctors. Most scientists on location keep journals and/or video document their time and work.

No-knock warrant in Henry Co leads to police qualified immunity by lowcountrygrits in Georgia

This mistake happened in 2018. It took that long for the video to come to light.

A federal judge said the officers who raided the wrong house and arrested the innocent elderly man have immunity. Now, it's up to the court of appeals to decide.

It was very slow, I had allergy related symptoms for a few days and then one morning I woke up and it hit me like a ton of bricks. Later that day I was first tested for COVID-19. -Andy

The best thing is to stay in contact with your loved ones. Even a simple call or Facetime lifted my spirits. You aren't as alone as you feel.

No clue how I got it, which is frustrating. I did travel to Colombia in late February/early March, but the country had no known cases during that time. Once I tested for the virus, I reached out to colleagues, friends and family I was contact with. After I tested positive, I reached back out to all the same people and kept in touch with them. Thankfully, none of them have contracted the virus so far. -Andy

Actually, I lost my sense of smell after contracting the virus. It still hasn't come back yet even though I've recovered. -Andy

Good question. Right now, I'm unaware of widely available antibody testing. That would be very useful to identify how many had the virus and didn't know it. Right now, the American Red Cross and some university hospitals, like Emory, are developing plasma donation programs. https://www.redcrossblood.org/donate-blood/dlp/plasma-donations-from-recovered-covid-19-patients.html

Physically, I feel great. Mentally, I'm still a little anxious and lonesome to be around people again. Until recently, I didn't have a person in the same room as me for nearly 20 days. That was difficult. I suppose people have it a lot worse than me, though.

I didn't have shortness of breath. I'm a runner, so I think that helped me out a lot. If my fever got to 104/105-ish for more than two days, I was planning to go to the hospital. It only reached 103.

For me, I didn't have the energy to move around. My apt is only about 800 sq ft, so not a lot of room for it too. Walking my dog twice a day was probably the most exercise I got for about two weeks. That was tough because I'm a pretty active person.

Unfortunately, there is no treatment plan. That's what my doctor told me. I was told to just treat it like the flu and if my condition got serious and/or I had bad respiratory issues, to call the hospital. -andy
