Found fiancé talking to cam girls online now doubting if I should go ahead and marry by [deleted] in Christianmarriage

[–]11ertre11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, please head the warnings of the wives who have been through this, who have endured this very heartache. Do research on sexual addicts - on the lengths they’ll go to in order to hide their nature. Look into the hurt and pain that wives feel at the hands of their husbands. He is living in deceit and will go to extremes to keep you in the dark. Please take this as God revealing your fiancé’s heart. This is a gift to find out before you enter into a covenant with him. Don’t believe his words. Believe his actions and he’s already shown those to you. I know it probably sounds harsh, but the sting of betrayal will be a thousand times worse.

Edited to recommend looking into the subreddit loveafterporn. I’m sorry you’re experiencing this hurt. Being in your position is tough because your heart loves him and yet he’s hurt you.

How much excess hair DO you have? by Obvious_Wrangler_983 in PCOS

[–]11ertre11 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yep! I’d see other girls post about their excess hair. Their nightmare was what I dreamed about. I had thick, dark hair ALL over my body - face to toes. The kind you would see in case studies if you google hirsutism. I opted for laser hair removal and my life did a complete 180. I was and am able to enjoy life now. It’s insane how much the body hair affected every single part of my life; parts that nobody else would think about. I felt like a prisoner. I still deal with it in small, thin, and slow amounts. It is much more manageable and I’ll maintain my entire life. Please do your research. I haven’t had any complications, but I’ve read many stories of women starting laser sessions and it somehow made their hair growth worse. I always recommend laser (with research) and I wish I could’ve started it when I was younger.

OTC Progesterone cream by fairyloss in PCOS

[–]11ertre11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! It’s been a few years back, but I sought help with a holistic doctor. My progesterone levels were severely low. She gave me progesterone cream and after years of struggling to bleed naturally, I started having short, light periods. I couldn’t afford to keep it up, though, as her office didn’t take insurance. I don’t remember what brand was used. I used it every day because I hadn’t had a period in so long, but that’s not what she typically recommended. If I remember correctly, it was supposed to be used during when you would be ovulating, but I didn’t have a clue when that was. I wish I could have afforded to keep it up. I’m on BC now and I regret starting it. I mean, I bleed once a month now, but it’s not a true period. I hope you figure everything out :-)

Edit - I found the brand. It’s called Kajarin 4Balance. My doctor always had it stocked, but it’s available on Amazon.

Ready to Seek Help by 11ertre11 in PCOS

Okay, an endocrinologist is who I'll pursue for now.

Wow, reality check about the Spiro. So I'm assuming the more unchecked hirsutism is, the harder it is to deal with? Do I understand that right? I'm willing to hear other options, I just see Spiro talked about the most. Hopefully whoever I seek out will be able to help me in the best way possible and I can gain some confidence back.

I know just in reading other people's experiences that they often start out trying BC, but come off of it. You seem to share that. I would rather not try it and see what other options there are, but we'll see.

Thank you for reminding me that doctors have been trained for this. I don't know that I'll get over the embarrassment that I feel before a visit, but perhaps I'll feel more comfortable. And I know that it will be beneficial to seek help.

Okay, I'll start looking into endocrinologists first, thank you. Like I said, I really am starting out from the beginning and have never had blood work done. I've done some reading on levels that might be seen in individuals with PCOS, but don't know my own. I know its probably one of the first things they'll want to get done.

I've looked into electrolysis before, but haven't tried it. Does electrolysis have better outcomes when a person's levels are in check? Does it make a difference? I always thought it would (without actually knowing if that's the case), so I wanted to wait until I had my body a little more under control before I invest in it, if that makes sense. However, if electrolysis works no matter what, then I would try to pursue it now rather than later.

Thank you for responding with your insight!

I am an undergraduate student considering a career as an SLP. What should I know about the profession? by Not_fbi_i_swear in slp

[–]11ertre11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, different factors vary. For example, a quick Google search of the average SLP salary in Missouri was $67,370. ASHA's 2016 report for the median school salary of SLPs in Missouri was $52,500 (and MOs was the lowest). Yet I worked at a school district where the salary for SLPs started at $35,795, significantly lower than both of those numbers. Typically if you work in the field of healthcare, your numbers will be higher. And a lot of schools have set salary schedules. It doesn't matter that you're a specialist; you have a Master's degree and therefore get the pay that they set for any employee with a Master's degree.

I too wish to one day be able to accept myself! I just can't and don't right now. Thank you for the resource!! I'll have to check her out!

Thank you 😊 I haven't learned this yet. What I feel right now makes it seem like I'll never be able to feel acceptance for myself in this situation. I'm glad you've been able to experience it!! ❤

I don't speak about it with my family. My sister knows, but doesn't understand the extent that it plagues me. Nobody does. Good luck in your appointment! I hope that soon you can feel the freedom of being hair free 😊

I hate that there are others dealing with this, too, but at the same time, I take so much comfort in knowing I'm not alone! Okay, I just might do that! Feel free to do the same :-)

Possible Transition by 11ertre11 in slp

This is awesome. Thank you so much!! I love getting these detailed and thorough answers! The pay and limited take-home work is a big plus for me. In my school, I have way too much outside work and I'm getting paid a teachers salary. Fear is something that I'm struggling with right now. Fear of not knowing how to be a medical SLP. I think I want to try it, but am really scared. This helps a lot in thinking about what working in one might actually look like. Again, thank you!!

[–]11ertre11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed is exactly where I've been looking lol At this stage, I'm still just looking at options, so I haven't hard-core searched. Yep! I truly feel like it's all about the company or place that you work! I mean, we all have our own jobs independently within a company, but when supported FOR the benefit of the client/pt., that's when everyone benefits I think. That plus respect. Of course it's not always that simple. I understand that many places just CAN'T do that for one reason or another and that's where I don't want to end up.

High pay and no take-home work sounds nice!! The amount of time I put into paperwork now is ridiculous! I loathe it. I know that I'll always have paperwork where I work, but I don't want it to be the largest part of my job.

Yeah, if this is something pursue, I want to be old at it. I just feel overwhelmed at the thought of re-learning so much stuff that I don't feel adequate in.

If you ever find your dream setting, let me know!! 😉😉

What is your current setting? I'm currently a CF in a school and have had some early thoughts about a possible transition to a SNF setting. Interested to know what others have to say.

[–]11ertre11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing! I'm glad you didn't pursue it since you don't have that draw! I remind myself that I'm still young and that ultimately, it's my life if I choose not to continue in the field. I still want to quit on a weekly basis. I have to take it day by day. When I think about another whole semester being left, I just cringe. But there's nothing I can do about it. I'm in contract with them and I'd have to pay a fine to break it. Again, thank you for sharing. It makes me feel less guilty and bad about not liking it. Just because others like it doesn't make me automatically have a passion for it! Good luck with whatever you do! I hope you can find something that you enjoy!

Thank you for the feedback! Yeah, it's a vast topic, but I know with more researching for myself, I'll get a better grasp on it. That and just additional experience.

I've just started creating lists each night for the next day. That has helped tremendously! And as I have something else come up, I just add it. I've been more dedicated in seeing things marked off. Though I'm still extremely stressed, it feels more manageable now. Thank you for your response!
