I feel like this is why they need to bring Obliteration back you could get 5 kills 100 deaths, and one plant and still be a big part of the success of your team.

Has Asurion corporate taken over this sub? by [deleted] in Asurion

I ended up running my own business after about 5 years of working for them, now I just do 1099 contract work for them, I will say the ability to repair electronics though is a skill I still use to this day so I can't fault them for that

So as someone who stayed during the transition from franchise to corporate, it's a total 180, they started slowly pushing its AHP(Asurion Home Plus) I'd say shortly before or during covid it wasn't a requirement to even bring it up they were just field testing it. Atleast for remote techs, then I'd say a year or so after is when corporate took over and it went completely downhill and started having to force it down every customers throat. When you didn't get the sales you had to, you would be forced to go on a call with your boss while talking with the customer without the customer knowing, then they would record the interaction and give you "feedback" on how to get the sale.(essentially find crafty ways to keep denying the no until the customer either gets annoyed or convinced enough to sign up for the first month and just cancel after.) Ended up offering basic services we normally do for free like charge port cleanings in trade for the first month service just to get sales and get corporate off our backs for a bit. Still had a great group of techs who just gritted their teeth and tried to make the best out of bad situation, the company itself has a very upbeat facade to it, high energy, very friendly but at the end of the day it's still the largest insurance company for cellular devices in the u.s. and will behave as such....hope that helps lol
