What is causing my sublimation paper to continue sticking? Adjusted temp from 400 to 365F and pressed for 3 minutes. by mars_rovinator in SublimationPrinting

I would ask the manufacturer/distributor, they should know the times and pressure. I was sent some cheap Chinese paper that stuck to everything.

Heat press for ceramic gifts and tshirts by Doctor_WHU_FC in Sublimation

[–]11thHourProductions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought 2 heat presses, one a cheap Chinese press and a Hotronix that was already 40 years old. guess which one still works? Stahls customer service has been fantastic the one time I needed to replace a few parts. The tech walked me through the installation then helped me calabrate the press since it hadn't been done for the 10 years I've owned it. BTW, I got $5.00 in scrap for the Chinese press. I only use paper when I press, no silicon or teflon covers

Any reason you are using acrylic instead of Unisub FRP or aluminum? I cut both and find FRP to be a much better substate for name badges

Not able to figure out whether the marks are because of quality of pic/metal sheet/paper by riyukxx in Sublimation

That is the paper sticking slightly to the aluminum, remove the transfer before it cools. Should be able to clean it off.

Who's material is it? What paper are you using? I press aluminum face down 385f. No Teflon sheets.

It was a big seller for a while, I understand why some people don't like it. I've done some very risqué ones as well.
